I was fortunate to have learned the game from former US Junior Davis Cup and Olympic team Coach, Steve Stefanki. After playing #1 at San Carlos High, I played varsity tennis for Santa Clara and attained wins on the US satellite circuit after graduation. Ilya has been a phenomenal tennis coach, with a real passion for the sport and a true dedication to my progress. Previously, I have taken lessons with other instructors but still could barely rally and I thought maybe I was just not a tennis person. I started lessons with John as an adult beginner. Having zero experience playing tennis I was a little nervous but John is such a great coach and has a lot of patience. He’s a pro and is very knowledgeable making him a good instructor for players of all ages and levels. He’s really good at explaining the technicalities of the sport and a great teacher. He’s also just a friendly guy and his positive vibes makes it fun. I’ve had 3 sessions and I’ve already learned and improved so much. I’m looking forward to growing in this sport and glad I found John to be my coach.
