- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently in the process of obtaining my contractors license. I am also taking college courses at night and I am not far away from a B.S. in Horticulture. Most importantly I learn from working everyday. I am always trying to pick up new techniques and knowledge from clients and other landscapers, but mostly I learn from encountering new situations and variations of common problems that I deal with daily.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love working outside and enjoy farming and gardening, as well as stone and carpentry work.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Hardscaping. Things like paver walk ways, wood, stone & brick retaining walls, fences. Recently we have been doing quite a few raised bed redwood planter boxes. Lots of people these days are getting into organic back yard gardening.
