Acting Lessons
Joanne is absolutely amazing! I have been out of the acting world for several years now and have been really nervous to put myself back out there. Joanne has made this journey fun and has definitely pulled me out of my shell. I am so excited to continue to work with her and learn all the wonderful things she has to teach me!!

I had always wanted to try acting as more of a hobby. With Joanne’s teachings, techniques, encouragement, etc. I have now thought that I could do this full time! I have only been with her for about 3 months and the difference she has made has been absolutely through the roof!!! The instant, and honest feedback she has given me helps me in all sorts of ways. She challenges me in all sorts of ways to let me know if this is something I’d really enjoy. Young, old, and everything in between, you need to use Joanne for all techniques, and teachings!!!

Joanne is an amazing coach! She has been teaching my 8 year old daughter for months now. I see such an improvement in my daughter’s confidence and in her ability to cold read a script. Recently, my daughter entered into a competition where she had to develop a business plan and sell her business idea to a group of investors. Although the competition was simply to teach the kiddos how to start and pitch a business, she used her techniques taught by Joanne. She was the youngest in the class and won first place! Joanne is patient and works well with kids! My daughter enjoys her class. I highly recommend her. As a bonus, she is highly professional, organized and always on time.

I hired Joanne to work with my 9 year old son and I am so glad I did! She encourages Parker to explore acting as both an art and a science. The lessons include practice and experimentation with acting methods using games and exercises that allow him to grasp incredibly complex ideas in a fun and interesting way. Parker absolutely loves working with Joanne and her knowledge and industry experience has been a great asset to me as the mom of an actor. She is always willing to answer questions from my son and myself. Simply, she's amazing!!

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? To begin, I suggest we set up a 15 minute free consultation, so that I can learn more about you and the goals you have created. Then, I will share with you the program that I can provide you with. My services are customized to fit your specific needs and interests. This individualized approach helps all types of clients, from those brand new to the performing arts to those with years of experience. For instance, some of my clients need daily or weekly support in their artistic work, while others need coaching on a specific audition or project. Based on your current needs, we will collaborate to develop a schedule that makes sense for you. I include feedback and will maintain regular communication regarding your progress. Together we will discover what self doubts you are holding onto. What fears you have that consistently hold you back from unleashing your most creative self. What actions you are not taking. What skills you need to learn. What areas of your work should you be committing to right now. You and I will create a sense of urgency that will motivate you to stay on track, especially when it is hard. We will commit to the work you need to do right now! I go back and forth between LA and NYC. I do most of my lessons online, which has proven to be very effective.
