About this pro
Nick was the clown at my niece's 2nd birthday party. He arrived promptly and brought with him and abundant amount of props and activities to occupy toddler age and above children for just an hour. Among those were crazy big bubbles, a parachute, stereo with kids music, a trunk full of puppets for a puppet show and more. From the moment he arrived the children were captivated by his presence and he had no problem keeping them occupied while their parents had some time to mingle. He was gracious enough to stay beyond the hour to paint extra children's faces and he even did some adult ones too which I greatly appreciated. Nick clearly loves what he does and the kids love him!Feb 19, 2014

Nick Kane is a clown like no other. The diversification, quirkiness and authenticity of his characters captivate the crowd and warmly entices audience participation. I have worked along side Mister Kane at several circus themed entertainment events in Los Angeles and am always impressed with the uniqueness of his acts and his ability to stay in character, even after the show is long over. If you are seeking a generic bozo the clown in a walmart bought costume, good luck with your search. This clown here is a reincarnation of The Tramp himself. I would not hesitate for a moment to hire him again for an event, let it be for adult vaudeville entertainment, high brow corporate events or a birthday party for the kids. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I train most weekday nights. I train with Cirque du Soleil clown John Gilkey who was a main clown in Iris, Quidam, Dralion, Solstrom, and Varekai! Plus I train with Steven Haves, the comic act designer for Cirque du Soleil since 2006! I also learn by teaching as I teach new clowns the craft and trade.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I used to be an after school teacher (STAR program) but I decided to be an entertainer for it was the in between times that influenced kids the most. In a classroom the lessons they learned may be remembered, but the fun and interesting childhood memories like the birthday party with all your friends and classmates are life lasting. The lessons taught in play and fun stay for life.
