- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer discounted packages depending on how many sessions a week the client is looking to do and the type of preparation services the student needs! Our services include all of the following: (1) personal statement and supplemental essay writing; (2) college counseling and applications preparation; (3) test prep. tutoring (ACT/SAT/GRE); and (4) individually tailored school searches for scholarship opportunities. Please feel free to contact me for an individual quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always do an initial assessment of the student’s academic background during a free thirty-minute consulting session to ensure my counseling is tailored to each individual student. I provide a short preliminary admissions survey in order to have a better understanding of the student’s history and their unique goals. My clients comment on my ability to not only relate with the students I work with and connect with their specific goals - but strive to be an on-going mentor for future student’s needs. Depending on the specific needs of each student, students and parents will generally purchase a discounted package for multiple services including: (1) personal statement and supplemental essay writing; (2) college counseling and applications preparation; (3) test prep. tutoring (ACT/SAT/GRE); and (4) individually tailored school searches for scholarship opportunities. I evaluate the student’s academic background and personal experience collectively during our initial consultation for the best instruction and strategic preparation plan for approaching the Common App and UC applications process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 10+ years college academic counseling and test preparation, Improving student’s test performance and overall ACT/SAT/GRE/LSAT experience. I majored in business economics/psychology at UCLA with a full-ride scholarship and I am currently finishing law school and sit for 2022 bar exam. I started out assisting countless colleagues and students for their undergraduate and graduate personal statement writing. Presently, I work across a host of complex legal practices, where I write up persuasive, court winning briefs for over 40 hours per week. Further, I have worked with a few different reputable tutoring companies over the years with 100+ hours of training for kids with disabilities and learning disorders. I have accrued countless hours of test preparation instruction and can provide student recommendations along with sample personal statements that I have written upon request. I am actively taking creative writing courses and I have a fierce passion for creating a poetic personal voice which helped students get into top schools like UCLA for undergrad and USC Business School for grad school by perfecting their personal statements and applications.
