I love going to Kristen's ranch and meet with her for my horseback riding lesson!! There are several amazing trails near the ranch, and riding on the trial just help you clear your mind so much. Kristen is extremely patient and I love her energy when I'm riding with her. I keep doing all the moves wrong lol , but she is always so patient in correcting me. My work schedule couldn't allow me to stick with the ride weekly which is sad, but I highly recommend Kristen if anyone is looking for a horseback riding instructor in the Bay Area.

I just started riding a little while ago, most trainers that have given me lessons have looked down on me; being a beginner on the older side. I really appreciated how she treated me like the age I am.

I started taking lessons at St. Francis Riding Club a few weeks ago and have nothing but positive things to say: the horses are well trained and treated well, the instruction is impeccable, and Oni is awesome. I look forward to going every week.

I had my first lesson with Oni and had a great time. I felt very safe in her hands and was able to learn how to maneuver the horse. Got to try out the trot which was pretty fun! I would definitely recommend her for future lessons.

Our 10 year old daughter Ella has been riding with Kate for about 2 years. We cannot say enough about how wonderful Kate is for Ella and all of the other kids at the barn. She builds their self-confidence, their leadership skills, and has high expectations of them...all in a low pressure environment which is an usual magical combination. It goes with our saying that Kate's riding is exceptional and her dedication to all things equestrian is superlative. She trains Ella to ride her best, every ride, but somehow manages to make the hard work FUN. She pushes Ella and the kids to be their best and they are eager to please her and make her proud. And in turn, she helps them be proud of their accomplishments. Last Summer we bought a horse for Ella - we didn't know where to begin. Kate helped us every step of the way to get the absolute right match for Ella. A few months later when Ella developed some fears, Kate worked with Ella to overcome her fears and develop as a stronger rider. Kate works tirelessly, night and day, at the barn for the kids and the horses. The kids all want to hang around and watch Kate instruct the other kids because they learn so much just by watching. Sometimes Kate will bring in experts for specific clinics and this has always been a huge learning experience for the kids. Kate also organizes many fun shows so the kids can get a taste of riding competitively. And as if this is not enough, in Jan 2017, Kate gave Ella the riding goals they had written down for 2017...we were so pleased that, with Kate's guidance, Ella achieved every one of them. I can't say enough about this amazing young woman and how fortunate we feel to have her influence and presence in our daughter's life. She is an all-around, phenomenal role model for kids.

Kate is very knowledgeable and communicates well with her students. She is enthusiastic, patient and kind, and able to be firm and professional but always fun. Tabitha (age 10) looks forward to her riding lessons and also the many riding competitions that Kate involves her students in. We are happy to have found Kate Little. Tabitha and Tom

Kate Little was extremely helpful and took my needs into consideration during my lesson. I got a full hour lesson if not more, and she was solely focused on me and my riding. I will definitely take more lessons in the future with Kate.

I came to horseback riding rather late in my life, and at first I was a bit apprehensive around horses. But right from the start, Susan was able to create a such a sphere of peace and calm around us and the horse, that I was able to center myself and let myself be totally absorbed in the experience. Any uneasiness I might have felt just evaporated. This first impression of peace lasted throughout all the lessons I took with Susan. She was able to gradually, naturally introduce new elements in the riding / handling of the horse so that I felt each time comforted and elated at what I was able to accomplish. At the same time she challenged me just so to make it interesting, especially since I always felt safe in what she was asking me and the horse to do. I knew I could do it, and my confidence and enjoyment grew steadily. What I like about her approach also, is that she considers the horse and the rider as a whole, as a team moving together. Doing ground work with her is an eye-opener. With fun and creative exercises, Susan will point out all the little details that make you understand and feel closer to your horse. And what a thrill to experience that you can, at a distance, be "in sync" with your horse, running along together at liberty, but being connected nonetheless by that invisible thread that is the mark of a real, close relationship based on trust, understanding, and respect. If you are in the SF Bay Area, I would highly recommend that you check her out. I don't live there anymore, but if I did, I would go back to her. Why don't you give yourself a little break, especially if you feel stressed out? Take the time to be out in a beautiful natural environment, get close to these great animals and be helped by this special teacher, and it will make you forget about everything else, leaving you very relaxed, joyful, and revitalized.

I have been taking horsemanship lessons with Susan for nearly three years and, in that time, I have improved my riding skills and my confidence working around horses immensely. She's an extraordinarily patient teacher and I value her natural approach above other forms of riding I have tried before. At the ranch where she teaches, Susan has access to a large covered arena, a large outdoor arena, round pen, and trails... plus, with any number of horses to choose from, you are guaranteed to find a good fit for whatever your horse riding goals are. I recommend her natural approach without hesitation. Try it... I think you'll like it!

I had always wanted to learn to take horseback riding lessons but as I got older I felt that maybe it was too late. Then I found Susan. When I had started I had never been on a horse. Her Natural Horsemanship method of teaching gave me a wonderful foundation and made me very comfortable around horses because I learned how they think and how they may respond. Susan, is a wonderful, patient instructor and I highly recommend her. Suzanne

I have been training with Dina for 10 years. She is a phenomenal teacher. Dina learns each of her students’ strengths and weaknesses and tailors her lessons accordingly. She always talks with her students to find out each of their goals and develops a program to help them reach it. I am always telling her she has the patience of a saint. My riding skills would not be where they are today if it weren’t for her teaching me over the years. Dina always gives the horses the best care and training. I never worried about my horse when I had to leave town because I knew he would be cared for like he was her own. Dina incorporates many different activities (shows, trail rides, cross country schooling, horse camping) to make her students’ riding experience the best it can be. If you are looking to advance your riding skills and have a good time doing it, I highly recommend training with Dina.

I loved my experiences at Vescera Show Stables! Dina is kind and easy going-she makes riding and the barn fun. I have moved on as a professional jockey at the racetrack and I credit Dina and her experience combined with her teaching ablilty for a lot of my success. She teaches the foundations needed to go on in this business. I would recommend her to riders of any level-everyone can benifit from her. Can't say enough good things about her-shes a trainer, a rider, a teacher, and a worker!!

I highly recommend Dennis and Bright Ranch for horseback riding! My 10 year old son begged for us to get him lessons for almost a year. I found the Bright Ranch and explained exactly what kind of experience we were looking for. After the first lesson, my son gave Dennis the highest compliments and is looking forward to many days spent learning to ride and care for the horses. We are very happy to have found such a great program!

Megan is awesome at what she does! No matter your experience level she is able to accommodate riders of all ages. I had not rode a horse since I was about 10, so I was a little nervous, but Megan made it so much fun and eased my nerves! She has several horses that will accommodate riders of all ages.

I had a fantastic riding lesson! Peter was patient, encouraging and confident as he taught me the basics of riding. I was really nervous but Peter gently led me through the lesson and I would definitely recommend him. As a classroom teacher I can recognize when someone is able to impart information clearly so that the learner can experience success. I highly recommend Peter Adame
