FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We typically offer a flat rate for the Design Fee, as opposed to billing the client on an hourly basis, so that there are no hidden Design Fee costs to surprise the client with as the project progresses. The fee is determined upon the initial site visit and presented to client for approval.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First thing would be the initial phone call or email between myself and the client, during which the client's needs are discussed and determined. Next, we set up a time to meet at the project site (if site is accessible) and document the space(s) through photographs and measurements. At this time, upon reviewing the project in person, we present the client with a Design Proposal which lists cost and services we will be providing. Upon approval and payment of Design Fee Retainer, we begin the Design Process at our firm. We utilize hand sketches and various computer drafting and 3-D modeling programs in order to draft and create floor plans, elevations, etc... and incorporate them into a cohesive Design, which addresses and meets the client's needs. After the Design is complete, we present the concept (with images, photographs, 3-D Renderings, etc...) to the client, in order to get their approval and/or feedback to either revise or proceed with the Design.
