I first met Tigran upon seeking to further my understanding of music theories and composition. I had previously been educated in music but was looking to further my skills beyond the average college music education. Studying under Tigran led me to a much broader understanding of music and even to a more philosophical view of music. Having already been educated in music, it was refreshing and eye opening. He is an amazing instructor, patient and thorough, informed and motivating. Although a great deal of it was extremely difficult it was also very fun. I would definitly say, as a teacher, he is by far one of the best I've come across ever. I am very thankful to have studied with him and would certainly recommend him as an instructor to anyone who wishes to gain a thorough and comprehensive understanding of music composition.

Tigran is an excellent teacher. He is very clear and thorough in his lessons. He pays very good attention to questions, and forms his lessons around the student's particular needs. He always comes prepared with many examples and exercises that hone in the skill being developed at that lesson. I very highly recommend his teaching in music, composition, and theory.

Mr. T is a very responsible and reliable teacher. My daughter has been taking music theory lessons with him for over 5 years. His love for music and what he teaches really comes through in the enthusiasm he shows in every class. He develops a curriculum for students based on their individual abilities and interests. One of the best teachers I've encountered!

I am Mr. T's former student. He was my theory teacher, and he used many different ways to help me understand different concepts that were harder to grasp. When it came to the test day, the test didn't make me very nervous because of all of the prep tests and exercises Mr. T has provided me.

I had a great experience learning music theory from Tigran. He employs excellent methods and techniques of simplifying the difficult concepts of harmony, tonality and modality into understandable exercises. Establishing the basic framework is the key, and this is what Tigran excels at. Tigran's own compositions are a great learning tool for advanced education, incorporating concepts of atonality, chance, silence, modes, etc. I highly recommend Tigran's instruction for beginners of music education, intermediate level students, as well as composers and theorists eager to expand their horizons and push the envelope into modern and avant-garde music experimentation.
