FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the session, not by the hour. I also offer a variety of training options.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first session generally goes a bit long (about 2 hours) because I like to really get to know both the dog and the owner as well as hear their history before deciding what training we should focus on. As such, I don't charge by the hour but charge for the entire session no matter how long it goes. It's important to come up with solutions that work for the owners and the dogs instead of just selling the same package to everyone. I'm very flexible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked with animals on and off since I was thirteen years old. I've worked as a dog trainer since 2001 when I divided my time between dog training and managing an animal rescue. I've done in-kennel training (boot camp), private sessions, group classes, therapy dog work, conducted bite prevention seminars, taught other people how to train dogs and more. Although I have a bachelor's degree from USC, my dog training education comes from real life experiences.
