Introduction: Photography is an absolute mind consuming passion for me. I have fallen in love with every aspect, including being able to tell a story through photos. I have a restless energy when it comes to this artistic expression which drives me to constantly create new work. I love being involved in the creative process whether it be storyboard drafting, set design, or wardrobe styling. As Confucius once said, "ÃÂChoose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life"ÃÂ. I love meeting new clients and seeing their "true" side while photographing. A photographer's main challenge is to bring out the life in someone so that they shine in their photos. I pride myself on making my clients comfortable so that they produce the photos they are happy with.

So many beautiful photos! I can look at them and relive the ENTIRE experience. We threw a four day vintage circus wedding celebration over 4th of July weekend at my family's home in southern Ohio. My husband and I planned, crafted and executed each aspect from start to finish, for three months straight. Having a photographer who would appreciate the labor of love and chunk of our lives that went in to creating this once-in-a-lifetime celebration was a very important piece to the puzzle. Lauren traveled to our little town and spent the week capturing ALL of the events, welcome party, rehearsal & dinner, wedding & reception, and the "recovery" party. My family and friends absolutely LOVED her. Like a long time friend, she fit right in, was personable, upbeat and encouraged everyone to have a good time, all while capturing special candid moments. People who could not attend the celebration say the photos make them feel as though they had. While guests who were there, say the photos make them feel the fun and excitement of the circus all over again. I've continued to receive compliments from the photos and requests to share them. Lauren was able to capture everything from the crazy exciting surprises (hand canons, fire breathers, spontaneous dancing, fireworks, moonshine tasting, etc.), to the quiet special moments (first looks, hugs with dad, tears from mom, sister passed out drunk BEFORE the ceremony) and everything in between. Lauren also did my carnival themed engagement shoot months prior to the wedding. We used photos from that as a common thread throughout, from save-the-dates and our wedding website, to enlarged framed photos as decor at the wedding and reception. These were gorgeous on their own but I knew only she could complete the story by photographing our wedding too. We threw a lot of elaborate ideas and elements at Lauren and she was able to organize every detailed moment into a series of photographs that perfectly captured the story of our celebration. In short... She's pretty darn awesome and a joy to have at any event.

If you want drop dead gorgeous wedding photos that will elicit a flood of magical memories from your special day, then the only photographer for you is Lauren! I recently got married and I knew that I wanted to capture every beautiful memory from that day, but I also knew that I had a painfully camera shy husband on my hands. What to do? Call Lauren. Problem solved. Lauren arrived at the location 30 minutes before we did, was all prepped and ready to start whenever we were, and then something incredible happened: she magically turned my husband into a comfortable, relaxed, camera friendly model! Wait, what?? The man who has been in maybe 10 vacation pictures over the last 15 years is now front and center, smiling, laughing, and enjoying this whole process?! Wow. I have to say, Lauren wielded her magical wand (her camera lenses) and turned every frame into something beautiful, fun, spontaneous, gorgeous, and unforgettable. I should also mention that Lauren works with amazing precision and speed: she has an incredibly skilled eye, knows what looks great, listens to input from her clients, and then delivers everything you could have imagined and then some. She has such an easy, relaxed demeanor that you cant help but feel relaxed and calm around her, which is exactly what you want on a historically stressful, frenetic day! Our wedding photos were not only breathtakingly stunning, but also beautifully timeless: we can look at each picture now or in 20 years and relive every moment, feel every emotion all over again, and cherish every memory from our special day. Thank you, Lauren, for your incredible skill and talent. We would have never gotten such amazing pictures from another photographer. It's pretty simple: if anyone wants amazing wedding pictures that will surely bring you a lifetime of fond memories, then there's only one person you should call: Lauren Bernardo. Period.

I had a vision of what I wanted my engagement shoot to look like, and Lauren went above and beyond my expectations. She was so easy to get along with, I felt I could really be comfortable around her. Lauren did an amazing job photographing my wedding, she loves her job, she is such an artist, she took the time to meet my family and friends and the wedding and took countless pictures. Please contact me for a quote as there are many shooting styles. I want to work within your budget!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I am a natural light photographer meaning I prefer to shoot outdoors. I find that family portraits, engagement, and wedding photos have a stunning ethereal quality when using the natural golden glow provided from the sky. For fashion or editorial shoots I do use a studio, however I prefer to venture outside more.
