FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Simply put, I love learning, be it from formal training in classrooms, or simply reading books. And photography is a rapidly changing field, so I go out of my way to stay up to date both in current technologies, and style trends.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to try portrait photography for fun. I practiced on several friends one week. As soon as they got the finished photos, they all posted them to social media, and their accounts exploded with comments about how awesome they looked. I totally didn't see that coming and was amazed photos that I took could get that reaction. Plus, seeing how it made them feel about themselves made me feel fulfilled in a way I hadn't expected.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Vastly different skills are needed for different kinds of photography (weddings, commercial, family portrait, modeling, etc.). Look for a photographer who specializes in the type you need. Your experience will likely be smoother, and you'll get better pictures.
