Introduction: ***We are now offering online music lessons!! This is a fantastic opportunity to receive music lessons in the comfort of your own home with some of the Bay Area's best music teachers!. Thank You.*** We offer a free introductory lesson to all new students so they can meet with one of our experienced instructors and have a tour of the studio. We currently have studios in Santa Clara and in Redwood City. All of our instructors have degrees in music and many perform locally and internationally. There are no long term contracts, students sign up for lessons on a month to month basis. We offer our students exciting motivators, such as a chance to perform on stage in one of our recitals or participate in one of our practice challenges to earn prizes and trophies. Our administrative staff is friendly and professional. Their goal is to help make music lessons a smooth and inviting process. We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach. A seven-year-old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than a fifty-seven-year-old taking up the instrument. The main reason to choose the Conservatory as your music lesson provider is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual.

I cannot say enough good things about CCG and all the teachers there. Both of my children (ages 9 and 11) have been going to CCG (first the Santa Clara location and now Redwood City) for years and my admiration for what and how the faculty there teaches only continues to grow. CCG is about so much more than just instructing children on how to play the classical guitar. All the teachers are accomplished musicians who feel passionate about what they do. Technical proficiency is just the beginning. Even the youngest students (some as young as three) are carefully taught (using a variety of fun and age-appropriate/Suzuki methods) the subtleties of musical expression, appreciation and performance. The result is a student body that, though young, excels in both skill, dedication and musical maturity. I am hugely grateful to CCG and all our teachers there who work so hard and have done so much to musically enrich our lives.

I was a student at the CCG for three years when I was in high school. The staff are all wonderful musicians, teachers, and mentors. Robert helped me improve my technique and musicality through challenging and enjoyable pieces. There's also a great sense of community fostered by playing in ensembles. I'm still very close with the other students I played with and their families. Classical guitar has become an important part of who I am, and something I've continued in college.

My son has had a great experience with the California Conservatory of Music. He has developed a love for all kinds of music and discipline to move through challenging pieces. I have three kids all taking music lessons at the school. Its great to be able to bring them to the school and have them take lessons at the same time. The teachers are very inspiring and professional. We will be here for years!

Each 30-minute, one-on-one lesson is $49.00, and tuition is paid monthly via credit/debit card auto-pay.

We offer a free, 15-minute introductory lesson so students can come into the school, see the facilities and meet the teachers.

All the teachers at the California Conservatory carry music degrees and have plenty of performance experience.
