Introduction: I just relocated to California, and teach in Sunnyvale.
I am Juilliard trained violinist and
full-time teaching artist. I have served as violin and chamber music faculty
at Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra
and Juilliard-Nord Anglia Programme in Chicago. Moreover, I have taught undergrad students at Northwestern University. My previous private students have been top prizewinners at regional competitions and Illinois Music Education Association auditions.

My son (11 yrs old) actually enjoyed violin lessons! Yoorhi helped him understand all about music theory, posture, techniques, etc. Will definitely be working with Yoorhi again.

I have been taking lessons for almost 5 years with Dr. Choi, and it has been a wonderful experience. Yoorhi is an amazing teacher: she is good at finding different ways to explain concepts until you understand the technique. Violin can be a frustrating instrument to perfect, but with Dr. Choi's expert guidance it is a worthwhile journey. Even though I started my violin lessons as an adult, she has helped me make lots of progress over the years and feel comfortable and confident in my playing. I highly recommend taking lessons from Dr. Choi!!

She is an excellent violinist but also an excellent teacher (I know lots of musician but there are not much person who has both of them) She is always focused and has great positive energy. Her advice is very accurate and easy to understand. She helps me to improve my technique but also to improve my musicality. The lesson is challenging but I enjoy the challenge every time. She host student recital and it was great chance to play with piano. Highly recommended Dr.Choi's lesson.

Yoorhi immediately struck up a great conversation with my 11 year old daughter - giving her confidence in her violin from the beginning (we have had meany instructors in the past) - she's just the best at striking up a great relationship with students and building their confidence. We love her!
