Melissa has been my dogs' Nanny for years, taking them out for lunch time walks as well as staying with them at my home when I went on vacation. She's dependable, trustworthy and knowledgeable of dogs-I had three different breeds and sizes, from large to small. I wouldn't hesitate to leave my kids with her at a moments notice.

Melissa has been taking care of my fur babies (cats & dogs) for as long as I can remember (15+ years). She is very knowledgeable when it comes to animals and takes great care of our 7-year old Great Dane when we go out of town (he's 155 pounds, has bad hips and takes medication). She is so compassionate towards all animals, is reliable, punctual, professional and most of all, she has a heart of gold! We just love her and so does our Great Dane (his tail start wagging the second he sees her!).

I wish I could check ALL of the options above. Melissa was just wonderful with our dog (who can be skittish). Within a day he was very happy - we could see from the many pictures and videos that she sent to show how things were going. I will definitely use her again!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started animal sitting at the age of 9 when we first moved here from New York. It made me so happy to care for the animals while the owners were away. That feeling of gratitude from a pet owner is priceless. And I get to hang with more animals = sign me up as an animal sitter! 😉
