I really like the very practical self defense instruction that Full Potential Martial Arts offers. I also love being bale to work in a small group setting, with partners in different sizes and ability. It really helps hone my skills. The classes are a great workout too! Master Robert Bombalier of Absolute Self Defense is a representation of unbridled professionalism in every sense of the word. While other schools of martial arts may focus on basics, sparring, or endurance testing, Master Bob's versatile knowledge of varying styles combines to create a more extensive and practical understanding of modern self-defense, as well as a better method of learning and practicing the martial arts. With an extensive knowledge of kinesiology, Master Bombalier has the unparalleled ability to fine tune your self defense training to a personal level. Robert Bombalier's teaching style instills lessons of respect, discipline, and beneficial personal development through all aspects of life. For me, starting off with martial arts as a young child, and continuing to study the ways of self defense into young adulthood, I can certainly say that Master Bombalier's influence and guidance in my training remains impeccably beneficial. For example, an extensive amount of my training went into dealing with anxiety, controlling fear, and handling my day to day struggles with asthma, of which all I have been given the chance to manage thanks to his service. In my time with Master Bob, I have watched as people from all walks of life come together to learn how to strengthen themselves in the realms of self defense, prepare themselves in case of emergency, and most importantly better themselves in the process under the guidance and instruction of this professional martial artist. Martial arts requires key, inherent characteristics of those in participation including effort, etiquette, character, sincerity, and self-control, and no-one I have ever studied under embodies these beneficial qualities more than Master Robert Bombalier of Absolute Self Defense.

Training at Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu Academy has been extremely fun, challenging and fulfilling. Sifu Nick was able to take me through the basics to help me understand the principles of what I was doing, while progressively pushing me to build a solid foundation in Choy Lay Fut. If you are looking to learn Kung Fu and really be able to use what you are practicing for self defense, try a class with Sifu Nick at Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu Academy

Very straight forward, real world applications, which is exactly what we need - just get right down to it. We have tried other self defense courses which spend a lot of time on learning discipline and self control (which is great if that's what someone is looking for) but this jumps right in and we're learning real world techniques in the first minute. Highly recommend and looking forward to the next session.

I started boxing lessons with Chuck about 8 months ago. With no prior boxing or martial arts experience, I had no idea what to expect when walking into a boxing gym. I started my search online, looking at reviews and prices. Luckily, I decided to try out Classic Boxing Coach and struck gold. Although not fancy or over-the-top, the gym has all the equipment one would need (at least from what I can tell). It's never too crowded but also never lacks energy. All of the other trainers and members that I have met have been warm and welcoming, always willing to chat or share a funny story. When walking into a boxing gym for the first time ever, I expected an intimidating, intense, and cold competitive environment; yet this gym offers a hard-training atmosphere with only positive vibes and good spirits. Chuck is an amazing trainer. I think the best thing about his training is his positive and energetic attitude. He is one of those people who is always present in the moment. He puts his focus and attention onto whomever he is training. He brings in the perfect blend of mental and physical toughness. Chuck explains the sport both philosophically and technically, while still putting the athlete through hard physical workouts. The training experience at Classic Boxing Coach comes with a great balance between training and fighting. There is enough sparring to create excitement and anxiety (if one chooses to spar), but not so much that each week is an all-out fierce battle with other members. Overall, I've had an incredible experience so far at this gym. I've learned the technical aspects of boxing, had great and grueling workouts, and had some good battles in the ring. Chuck is a great coach and an even better person. He always puts the clients first. I highly recommend this gym for anyone thinking about starting boxing or switching gyms.
