Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I help couples who want to be close again. I do this by helping you communicate more effectively and argue less, resolve conflicts quickly, re-establish trust, and rekindle the passion and connection that brought you together. Relationships and communication are two of my specialties. My other specialty is in working with men in a number of capacities: life-work balance, stress, anxiety depression, anger, self-esteem, and fatherhood to name a few. I use strategies that are research-proven to work for most people and accomplish your goals in a reasonable amount of time. In case you are interested, I hold masters degrees in both Clinical Psychology and Communication. I love seeing the changes my clients make in their lives. In individuals, I see them become more empowered and anything that has been holding them back lifted from their shoulders. With a couple, it is hearing and seeing their interactions change. Typically, they go from being emotional (blame, anger, sadness, quiet, etc.), and sitting apart, arms folded and legs crossed, to, over the course of therapy, expressing words of love and care, and they begin sitting closer with a hand on the other's hand or knee. But the best part is when they are once again able to look into one another's eyes and do so with love.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

MA in Clinical Psychology MA in Speach Communication Externship in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire a specialist in Couples Therapy. Many therapists say that they work with couples but most do not specialize in couples. In other words, the run of the mill, generalist therapist has varying amounts of experience in working with couples, and likely minimal if any specialized training in Couples Counseling. Whether you work with me or someone else, do yourself a favor and hire a couples specialist. You will get better, long-lasting results more quickly, which will save you money and time.
