Cass is the most hardworking, honest and reliable worker one can hire . She is very pleasant and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend her to others and will not be looking for anyone else in the future for all my jobs. It was a pleasure to hire her.Nov 6, 2012Verified
Cass showed up the next business day after contact and on time, estimated her time to complete the job, completed the job on time, prepared the area so well that I didn't have to move anything, and left the area clean and intact, as she found it. Magical. Quality-Cost-Schedule all met. I am SUPER pleased with her work and would hire her again AND recommend her to friends. Cass is a charming, energetic, and trustworthy person.Oct 24, 2012Verified
Cass mounted a heavy mirror for me. Our walls are covered with thick stucco and given the distance between studs, we couldn't hang it securely without her help. She did a great job, and the mirror hasn't budged for over 3 months now!Oct 30, 2011
This is my third time booking Cass, but surely will not be my last! She is always prompt, efficient, fair and reasonably priced. As a single mother, I felt more comfortable and secure engaging the services of a handyWOMAN since I would be home alone when repairs needed to be made. Each time I called on Cass, she provided me with several options of how to proceed with the job. If you're looking for one of the last truly honest and efficient services out there, call The Fix it Lass!Jun 1, 2011
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge by the hour and offer free estimates of how long I expect the specific projects to take.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Who is Cass the Fix It Lass? After years of unsatisfying work in the corporate world I was let go, and not sure what to do next. I visited a life coach who suggested, based on interests and passions I had expressed to her, that I should start my own handywoman business. It made perfect sense, everything that got me fired up involved DIY, home improvement and repairs, or gardening, and those interests were the perfect start for offerings to clients.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Hang pictures, assemble furniture, hang curtains/blinds/window treatments, replace light switches and plug outlets, install ceiling fan, change light fixture, small wall repairs, earthquake securing, small painting jobs, changing or installing smoke detectors. Gardening, hardscapes, hose repairs.
