Adriano has done an amazing job of repairing my antique display cabinet that was in danger of coming apart and crashing into smithereens. I am so grateful to him for his careful approach to this difficult task. He was innovative and creative in finding a solution to fixing this precious piece of antique furniture. I recommend him highly to anyone who needs a craftsperson with outstanding skills. (signed) Barbara Bronte-Bernal, Laguna Niguel, California.

Greg came out and explained how he could take care of our cabinets which we had painted ourselves. The antique looking finish turned out better than we expected. On time and affordable.

I love my re-finished antique oak table and chairs AND a small chest that he repairs and put a new top on by Samuel Villalobos! Sam was here to pick up the furniture when he said he would, and return them all done as stated. Any that was exciting as they are all soooo beautiful!! I will use Sam again and refer him to everone! Than you Sam!!

I had been very frustrated with my kitchen cabinets. They were only 6 years old and they looked terrible. They were faded, the veneer was peeling, and I didn't really know what to do. I contacted a contractor and he told me that Kent was the only person he knew of in San Diego County who would take on this job and was told by the contractor that Kent's results were always superior. Kent and his crew came to my house and refinished all of the cabinets. The quality of their work is outstanding. The cabinets are, in fact, in better condition than when they were installed brand new. We darkened the color, the cabinets are maintaining their color and not fading, the finish is durable, and they are easy to clean. They are really beautiful to look at. It is a messy job to refinish cabinets and Kent and his crew were extremely clean and respectful to the fact that I was living in the house as the work was taking place. I highly recommend Kent. You will be extremely pleased with the finished product as I am.

Like many who favor the furnishings of wood antiques to decorate a home’s interior, I too have a great affinity for them. Throughout my youth, my mother would pack lunches, and take us though the antique jungles in search of a nice pair of legs. As time passed, I moved to California and took my antiques with me. During this time, they suffered much with chips, dents, and breaks taking their toll along the way. I searched far and wide for the right person to restore them to their past glory but found them to be either inexperienced or just too expensive. One day, a Lakeside local mentioned to go see a craftsman named John saying “you won’t be disappointed in work or price.” So, understanding that my old wooden friends were in great need of repair, I went to see the wizard (John), the wonderful Wizard of Wood. After calling him he stopped by to see my Duncan Phyfe dinner table, buffet, and chairs. John studied every piece, taking pictures and notes. A day or two later he gave me a quote and I was very happy with the price. A few weeks later, he dropped off my pieces and I was taken back by their restored beauty. Since then, he’s brought life back to 8 of my antiques and have plans for him to do our kitchen cabinets next. All I can say about John is that he is a true master-craftsman of his trade and is a man that loves to produce quality work. His honest personality and sincerity of heart are reflected in his prices. He truly is the real deal and you won’t be disappointed. -Yessi

Pam did an amazing job of assembling our daughter's furniture! She was professional and friendly. The quality of her work is impeccable. In fact, we plan on having her back to do some refinishing on some of our other pieces. It took a bit longer than estimated but that was because I didn't provide a detailed explanation of what was required in my request for service. She definitely went above and beyond in her work. She even helped my kiddo tune his guitar! Doesn't get better than that! :)

Valentine Viannay is an exceptional artist. She did a lot of faux painting in my home, including making our pool table look like zebra wood. The most amazing thing she did was to paint all of our light switches to match the granite, tile, wood or leather that they are mounted on. It is phenomenal to see how she made the switches "disappear." Each light switch was its own little canvas and each one is a work of art. Valentine was always on time, very reliable and very nice, sweet and accommodating.

Bill was courteous, detailed, and very communicative at the outset. I initially accepted his proposal/bid because he was the only provider to include detailed information about the proposal, as well as an estimated quote. I needed a unit painted as soon as possible and for a reasonable price. Bill was available immediately to walk through the unit and provide a final quote (+/- $50 from the original quote on Thumbtack). He began the job immediately upon award and it took him 1.5 days to complete the entire job. He worked diligently, he was communicative as to how long I should expect the work to take, and he provided detailed invoices and receipts for all materials purchased. He is a detailed painter, very clean and tidy, and very professional. I recommend Bill's painting services to anyone seeking out a reasonable and quality painting job.

Ty from Leather Furniture Restorations Inc. did an awesome job rescuing my leather couch and chair! The job was more complicated then expected (amount of wear, two toned color), yet she completed the work for the quoted price and schedule. The work is amazing -- no sign of the tear, scratches are gone and color is perfect. She completed the work at my home and left everything immaculate! I give her two thumbs up and my thanks!

If you need someone to help you with your design questions and someone who will go out of their way to do the best job possible, then hire Jan Ford of Surface Designs! I wanted to have my great room re-done and before talking to Jan I wasn’t sure what colors would work with the carpet and furniture in my great room or exactly what textures/designs would be most pleasing to the eye. Jan’s expertise in color theory combined with her innate sense of style, her knowledge of textures/shapes, as well as her sense of place and design has resulted in our family's most favorite room to hang-out in, in addition to being a wonderful room for entertaining! I plan to call Jan next time I decide to make changes for the better in our home. She was always on time, easy to communicate with and clear in her approach, efficient, tidy, thoughtful, courteous, and lastly, her prices are very reasonable. Jan Ford of Surface Designs is number one in my book and I would recommend her excellent services to all! Gloria Flickinger

I was looking for a way to build storage in my house, and wanted to utilize a large amounts of pallets and old wood that I had saved from some remodeling we did at our house last year. Gabrielle was able to create exactly what I had imagined, building shelving in under a staircase, and making all our old wood look seamless and trendy. People always compliment me on the unique style it has when they come over, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
