Mia provide her services for my daughter Iliana and Simon's wedding. She did such a great job keeping everyone happy by serving them fast, making great drinks , having everything looking great, and having a friendly and positive attitude. Soledad! You, my dear, were SUCH a joy! Thank you for considering us for multiple events (Marisa, Simon & Iliana, etc) and for being such a pleasant host! Yes, you are absolutely right, by the way. It's always helpful to meet the whole wedding party prior to the ceremony. We get so many guests who want to start drinking upon arrival, and if we serve one guest, we are pressured to serve them all. Knowing who's in the wedding party helps alleviate that pressure, so we know to serve only the wedding party prior to our actual start time. Great eye, and great criticism. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?The only request I have is you remind your guests there will be a bartender at your event who is accepting tips. This helps me to keep my pricing low for you. Should you request that I do not place a tip jar on the bar you will be responsible for gratuity yourself. Help me help you!
- What types of customers have you worked with?More often then not, clients of mine have an idea of what they want but have difficulty pinning down details. I always aim to help my clients get all the details like: how many in attendance, what type of crowd (who are we catering to and how should we build a bar menu or open bar that caters to this group's taste and likings?), estimates on how much of what to buy based on specialty drinks and such, etc. It's my JOB to walk you through the process and make sure nothing is forgotten and there is something for everyone.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Go with your gut. Some people tout an awesome professional record and raise their prices, some don't say much but are plenty experienced. Go with who you vibe well with. Trust is a big part of a working relationship, and as a bartender we want to feel as excited about serving you as you are about having us. Makes it all the better.
