Mike and his team fixed parts of our broken deck, built wrap around stairs and new handrails. They also ripped out our old concrete slabs and laid new turf. We added an arbor build at the last second too! Mike was great to work with, communicative, prompt, and provided a great value. 100% would work with him again.

The project was to rebuild a fire pit patio and two sets of steps separated by a landing. The fire pit and landing required removal of existing soil and flagstone, rebuilding dry stack rock walls, leveling and installation of drainage gravel, leveling sand, polymeric sand and flagstone. The steps required a complete redesign with excavation, new layout and installation of drainage base, decomposed gravel and redwood timbers. From initial contact through completion, Mike was extremely personable, quick to respond and responsive to all of our concerns. The project was complicated by existing landscape and house features that needed to remain in place and work with the new hardscaping. As with most projects of this magnitude, there were several unanticipated problems that arose. In every instance, Mike and Fresh Start worked through them while taking our concerns seriously. All problems were solved collaboratively and amicably. At no point did we feel that our concerns were a burden or unwelcome. We felt that Mike's priority was our satisfaction. The final product is outstanding. We would gladly hire Mike and Fresh Start in the future. We've actually discussed another project already.
