Introduction: I offer quality workmanship and attention to detail. I'm particularly skilled at creating a well fitted garment that has a modern silhouette and reflects your personal aesthetic taste. I listen to my client's needs and produce a garment that meets those needs. I respond to client's calls and emails in a timely manner so they don't feel abandoned throughout the process. Customer service is important to me because I'm both a service provider and a consumer. I truly love when a client brings a garment that they presumed already fit well but then discover how a few alterations transformed a well fitting garment into a perfectly fitted garment. Many times clients are amazed how tailoring can accentuate positive body images and conceal areas where the client has body consciousness concerns. I'm overjoyed every time the client's posture and facial expression reveals that we've nailed it!

Alterations, Tailoring, and Clothing Design

Arisha is an absolute gem! She was able to accommodate my alteration on short notice and even came to my house to get it done in time for my event. She is wonderfully skilled and her work is very reasonably priced. I am so grateful to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone!

Alterations, Tailoring, and Clothing Design

Got some jeans altered and they turned out great! This was the first time I've contacted someone to alter some clothes for me, so I didn't know what to expect. They came out just how I wanted and they look really good!

Alterations, Tailoring, and Clothing Design

I could not have been more happy with Arisha and her work. She was able to do a rush job for me (dress hemming in less than 48 hours). She came to my home to do the measurements and then dropped the dress off. I thought her travel and rush fees were very reasonable, especially considering general tailoring costs in SF. Also, she is just wonderful as a person, and I really enjoyed talking with her as she did my measurements. I will absolutely work with her again, and you should, too!

Alterations, Tailoring, and Clothing Design

I had suit jackets and pants tailored and everything was done perfectly and it was so easy because she came to my home (completely masked) and picked things up and then delivered them back. Highly recommend

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I meet with clients or speak by phone to determine their perceived needs. I make recommendations concerning the particular project. I then assist with the fabric and supply sourcing prices and create a timeline for completing of the project.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I initially learned to sew from mom who was an impeccable seamstress working at my father's dry cleaners. I went on to attend College of Alameda where I completed apparel design & merchandising program with an emphasis in suit tailoring. I have continually added to my skill set by working in various workrooms over the years where i could learn and fine tune traditional and modern techniques.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started this work by taking on the client's who didn't want to pay my mother's tailoring prices. Sewing and alterations services were how I financially sustained myself in college.
