- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Most Face Painters love children and are self taught. Face Painting requires skill, true craftsmanship and the right paints, brushes and glitter. Most people think any artist can face paint. Not true. Why? Most Artists paint or draw on flat surfaces. Face Painters paint on a living breathing person, a three dimensional surface, that often moves, blinks, sneezes and is all different colors, textures and sizes. It takes time and skill to learn to adapt quickly and efficiently. A good Face Painter has to learn how to Mix paints for the right consistency, choose the best brushes for the design, how to angle the brush, apply glitter and jewels properly and effectively. All of these skills take time to learn in order to create a Quality Painting. A good artist can make quality face painting. But how long do you want to wait for this? When I first started it would take me a lot longer than now. I can do designs quickly and they are well executed because of the experience I have in painting hundreds of faces over the years.
