Scope - replace hallway floors (due to slight flooding/leak); gut reno one of the bathrooms; customize hallway closet(s). Pros: - Contractor was prompt to respond and quick to commence the job - Joe and his team are very professional - Quality of work is good - It is apparent that State Wide has a Subject Matter Expert for every aspect of the reno (different folks for plumbing, carpentry, tiles, flooring). Most likely 3rd parties but pros nonetheless. - flexible payment structure (also accepts CCs) Cons: - Execution was very slow; perhaps Joe's team was focused on bigger projects (it was mentioned on a few occasions) and it was apparent that our reno was not prioritized. - there were items that should have been spec'd out and ordered as to avoid delays (e.g. floor should have been matched on day1, subway tiles etc..). Numerous days were wasted as the team was waiting on the materials - my biggest frustration with the reno was the lack of empathy and accountability. Excuses/justifications were presented instead of just owning up to the significant delay (work was supposed to be executed in 10-14 days max; it took 30 days). It would have been completely fine if the delay was communicated properly instead of us hounding the team. Overall, we are happy with the renovation.Mar 16, 2017Verified
Very happy with the results of our master bathroom. Working with Joe was great. We were weary of working with a contractor, but Joe made the experience easy and fun. They completed the job on time and we even added on some little side projects. I am very happy with the results.Aug 27, 2017Verified
I just want to commend Joe and his entire crew on a job well done on my project. I originally had planned to renovate two of my bathrooms in my condominium, but i ended up adding flooring to my upstairs and refinishing of floors downstairs. I cannot express how much I appreciate Joe and his communication throughout the entire process of the renovation. Not only he advised me on the pros and cons about certain aspects he also provided me with options in order to keep it budget friendly without sacrificing quality. One thing I learned is that if you are able to build trust with you and your contractor you know that things will done right. Thank You Joe, I look forward to working with you again on another project.Jan 15, 2018VerifiedState Wide Construction & Remodeling, Los Angeles's reply
Brian, It was a pleasure working with you and on your home! We look forward to future projects!
We used State Wide Construction and Remodeling to fully remodel our bathroom. They handled all of the plumbing and electrical on top of everything else which was great so we wouldn’t have to deal with other contractors. Joe was onsite every single day of the project, he was very professional and helpful with any questions my wife and I had. Joe was also upfront about everything that involved the project and we never had any issues with timing or staying on budget. We are very happy with the outcome of our bathroom and with more remodeling plans for our future, we can’t wait to use Joe and his team again.Sep 20, 2018State Wide Construction & Remodeling, Los Angeles's reply
