- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Residential consultation fees (+ time alloted for typical appointment) INTERIORS 1-3 rooms: $400 (1 to 1.5 hours) 4-7 rooms: $600 (1.5 to 2 hours) 8-12 rooms: $800 (2 to 4 hours) 13-18 rooms: $1,000 (3 to 5 hours) EXTERIORS $900 (2 to 4 hours in 2 visits) Exterior front door color change – flat rate. (completed "remotely" without an in-person appointment) $300 for a color consultation to change your front or other door color Exterior trim color change – flat rate (completed in one visit or done "remotely" without in-person appt) $300 for a color consultation to change your home's exterior trim color WHOLE HOUSE (interior & exterior) a] Exterior, plus up to 12 interior rooms: $1,200 (2-3 hours first visit, and about one hour for second visit) b] Exterior, plus 13 to 20* interior rooms: $1,500 (4-6 hours first visit, and about one hour for second visit) * First 20 rooms at flat rate + hourly rate for extra rooms: $300/hour (billed in quarter hours)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A color consultation with colorific is a fairly quick and easy appointment. I'm usually in my clients' homes or offices for just a few hours (sometimes less) – but when I leave, my client has a very clear understanding of what will change, and they have had a big part in confirming that the new colors will meet their desires. But – just a few days later, a very important part of the consultation arrives in the mail – the color map: it clearly shows what color paint goes where, and in what sheen. This tool turns the ideas discussed in a color consult into a reality because the paint contractor will be able to start and finish quickly. And if there are any questions, I am available by phone/text or email to both my clients and their painters.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 25+ years as a trained graphic designer/creative director specializing in color for 2-D design. I also have been certified as a color consultant by Color IQ, and I have a certificate from London KLC School of Design. In addition, I am continuously keeping up with trends in color, interior design, architecture, space design, health care design, and paint technology.
