Short version: - won best in breed with Shayne's training classes - individualized attention even in group work - training techniques modified to specific breed - vet tech background is great for answering health questions. - responsive to emails, like having a trainer with you 24/7 Long version: I've only been working with Shayne for about a month and the experience has been awesome. I wanted to find a trainer in Fresno who can train show dogs and ran across her website. She is affordable and her service delivers. I just got back from my first show and we got best in breed!! Shayne is straightforward and to the point, both with owner and dog. I appreciate this about her and find that it cuts down on time to be honest in order to correct the mistakes that you are making. We do group sessions and even though its group sessions, she gives you individualized attention, even if the dogs are all at different levels. The activities seem new every week so the dogs are learning new skills every week or new ways to apply the skills they have previously learned. She understood my breed (mastiff) and has me modify my training for the specific breed. When I got frustrated bc my doggie dog wasn't listening, she explained to me that I can't expect a mastiff to listen the way labs or shelties do and have a short attention span and I have to switch up my training to make it exciting for him. She asked me the goals I have set out and we have met each goal in a manner that is realistic given the breed. To further socialize my puppy, she's even offered to go with me to the dog park so she can observe our behavior and ease my discomfort in that setting. I believe she's training to be vet tech or just completed training and its so great to have someone knowledgeable about the various issues that might arise with your fur baby. She gave good advice regarding growing pains, parvo, and a variety of other things. She never forces the advice on you, but it is always readily available. The best part about this service is that she is available through email (probably through text too, but I don't really text). Her responses are immediate and it extends the training beyond just the "classroom." Through email she gave me advice on how to crate train, quiet the dog in the house, and calm the dogs on walks -- these are things you can't do in class. When I emailed her in a panic at midnight the night before my first show, she responded within 5 minutes and walked me through what I needed to do. In short, don't waste your money at PetSmart/PetCo or any other trainer. Shayne has been nothing short of amazing and a pleasure to work with. I look forward to class every week!

I rescued a pit/mix from a shelter back East. Her name is Molly and when she arrived at her new home she was out of control..I knew I needed desperate help with training Molly .I then called Fresno bully rescue and they referred me to Joe.What a big difference .He is well educated with dogs and is a great trainer. He also teaches the owner different tactics to use when training your pet..Joe does not need to use treats to train and he has the most resonabe rates then others.I would highly recommend Joe Ozier from way of dog .

I have worked with Debbie now for a little over 6 weeks with my dog Lena focusing on socialization and reactivity around other dogs in public and at home. I wanted to be able to bring Lena along to events outside in public areas and feel comfortable and in control of my pet. Lena has attended 3-4 outside dinners at restaurants with people and other dogs, gone into petsmart on adoption Saturdays, and walked around downtown areas since training with Debbie. All of which were not possible or very stressful before. I am so happy I have trained with Debbie All Ears Dog Training and look forward to continue working with my dog and improving our time together :) I would highly recommend training to improve your bond with your pet and overall lifestyle!

I worked with Karrie at Perfect Paws and I have never seen such amazing progress in my shiba inu! As a puppy, you want to think you are doing everything you can to keep as many "bad habits" at bay, but there is always something that rears its ugly head. I have had other trainers I've worked with before, but Karrie really understands what it means to be a behavioralist. I went from having a over-anxious and chew up my carpets dog to having a perfectly tempered dog who has never chewed on the carpets again! She helped me not only understand the length at which my behavior affects my dog, but also helped me truly understand the needs of dogs. There is a HUGE difference between dog and human psychology. Her approach may be direct and something you are definitely not used to, but give her a chance and she will prove to you in less than 15 minutes that she can change your dog's life and your's!! Thank you Karrie! I don't know what I would have done without you :)

No two dogs are the same so no training program should ever be same. I like to create a program that will best be understood by the clients dog. This will pave the way for clear communication and a better overall relationship between the dog and it's owner. As for my experience, I have spent thousands of hours training high drive dogs in obedience and protection work. This experience has made my skills much more effective when it comes to lower drive pets.

    About

I have been around animals (especially dogs and cats) for 25 years. Living the life of a veterinarian's daughter from the age of 5 has taught me many valuable lessons in the animal kingdom and life. When it comes to the pet world, one can learn "how to respond" to certain animals in a certain ways. I have the animal background and the capability to help others to understand their companion and pet. Those who are not so familiar or comfortable with animals, those who are just curious to learn about dogs and cats alike (my main specialty in animals is canines and felines), I am not here to give any veterinary advice, however, I can refer you to some great veterinarians, depending upon the situation or species of the animal. What I can do for you is give you the valuable tools needed to shape yours and your family's relationship with your dog or cat. I have great danes; everyone's first reaction is to their size, but they and most dogs are so much more in depth than that; think about how the chihuahua behaves as opposed to the great dane. It's not always just how the breed generally behaves (which is key in how the training process of your pet will progress), but also equally important in integrating and training your new family member is you and how you will interact with your pet. I can give basic knowledge of typical breed behaviors, how you may be able to help along the process, calm the dog when over-excited, over-whelmed or just possibly unruly. This training is not only going to train your dog, but you. It takes commitment, dedication and love if your pet training is to succeed (and your pet is not the only one in training, in fact it will be you that will be doing most of the training and transforming). Learning how to react to a canine's response(s) will give you most of the knowledge you will need to train your pet to your specific lifestyle (i.e. children in the home, timid behavior and overly-excited). Also, I will bring my great dane to you for various occasions such as introducing children to large dogs (he loves kids and loves to play), introducing those who are weary of dogs or large dogs, how to interact with your pet, family interactions, basic obedience training, and show parties for entertainment with "his" unscripted, but always incredible show (because he just loves to be center stage and loves kids even more). If you have any questions that I may be able to answer, just let me know.
