FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My professional license requires renewal every four years. To be able to renew, we are required to complete a certain number of hours of training in areas such as ethics, financing, home buying and selling trends, etc. Aside from completing this renewal training, I read several professional monthly publications to stay informed of current events in the market. I also actively search out topics that I study to become more informed. I attend training provided by title companies and mortgage providers.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into this type of profession because I like to help people and I love to go look at different homes. I enjoy looking at the different ways people decorate their homes and I enjoy the different types of architecture.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When buying a home, don't go straight to the agent selling the house. You need someone who will represent you and your legal rights. The listing agent is representing his/her seller and will not be able to represent both sides without being biased towards one or the other. Look for a buyer's agent to represent you.
