Neil has been awesome and I have learned so much since I started taking drum lessons with Neil about a year ago. I had been a recreational drummer for many years but was lacking guidance to take my drumming to the next level. Neil has a great program that focuses on reading music, playing rudiments and learning various drum beats for rock, funk and more. Neil also play bass, which has been a great accompaniment for practice sessions. In addition, Neil has given me great insights into practicing better with my band, tips for playing live and how to become a better musician in general. Very highly recommended!!
Started going for violin lessons (I'm in my 20's with no music background). Had only a couple of classes so far. I really like the pace and her style of teaching. She is professional and very easy to work with.
I've been taking guitar and singing lessons with David for a few months, and I've got to say I've had a really great time learning from him! David is an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable teacher who clearly cares about his students and their goals, and better still has played and performed with the artists that I like best. It took me a while to find a teacher who was willing to teach me the music I wanted to play instead of starting with their core competence, so it was really refreshing that within a month or two with plenty of practice I was able to learn one of my favorite songs (Three Rounds and a Sound by Blind Pilot, if you're curious), and a little longer to start singing it, which I was really stoked about. He has been great about breaking things down when the piece we're working on is too challenging. David has also pushed me to pursue my goal of creating music, helping along the way to create melodies and lyrics. I have to say, it takes a great teacher to get me to sing and to share lyrics with them (do you know how embarrassing that can be?). I could go on, but suffice it to say, David is a great teacher, and I'm really glad I started taking lessons with him.
I am an adult beginning piano student of Juan's. I couldn't be more pleased. Juan always begins a lesson by asking if I have any questions and listening to me play. He then decides what we should work on. The focus is usually on the process of learning a piece. For example, together we figure out fingering that feels best for my hands. Its fun as problem solving. Juan chooses music well suited for his teaching approach. And the music itself is very enjoyable to play.
I love going to voice/piano lessons every week! Sarah has taught me so much in the couple months i've been with her - i have a much stronger and overall better voice than before i started lessons. It's also very fun just in general to go every week:)
I can't say enough about my experience with Ken. He is very intuitive. His lessons are balence between exercises and therory. I have alway found myself mentally stimulated, with plenty of work for my fingers. He is very energetic and reaches out between lessons to give you more music to play with. His warm and friendly personality make the lessons fly by. He also willing to work through tought topics without cutting the lesson short (schedule permitting ). I really appreciate his effort into his students. He has also been pretty flexible with my shedule. As an adult these are not the piano lessons I hated as a child. Lol
Ilana has been a great teacher and working with her over the past few months I've been able to refresh most of my playing abilities after a 12-year hiatus (plus learn to play new musical styles and music theory concepts as well). She is very patient, flexible and pushes you to continue improving your playing without making it a stressful experience. I highly recommend Ilana if you are looking to get back into playing violin or are a first-time student!
Both of our kids ( 12 and 10 ) are having a nice time with Lynn while learning their drills. She connects with them individually and helps them learn their drills in a smooth way. Our daughter loves her voice and piano lessons. On the other hand, our son did not want to take piano lessons at all but after a few lessons with Lynn, he decided to stay with it! How great is that! Thank you so much Lynn!!! :-) I am happy and looking forward to seeing more of their progress!
The only two hiring have been great, the current one is awesome, Marie seems very cooperative and genuine. My daughter love's her. And now from wanting first, singing lessons, also wants to learn the piano as well
If you are looking for an excellent vocal coach, look no further! I have had voice lesson since I was 11 years old and had quite a few teachers in my life, but Ann is by far the best I have ever had. I was trained as a classical singer and now switching over to contemporary music. This is quite a challenge. I am so happy I found her because she is the first one who is actually able to help me with that mission. Ann is not only an incredible teacher, she is also one of the most wonderful people I've met in my life. She has high energy, is patient, always encouraging and wants you to be the best singer you can be. I can honestly say she is a blessing!
I can't say enough good things about working with Patricia. She is always on time, always professional, incredibly knowledegeable, and always ready for our lessons. I have grown tremendously since I started working with her! I've actually started taking both voice and piano lessons from her because she is that good. She is classically trained and knows her stuff so well and can explain it so well that even a 5 year old could understand it.
Emily was superbly welcoming and nice. She was very understanding of how nervous my daughter felt when she started, and how self conscious my daughter was about her singing. Emily encouraged her and brought up her confidence by a lot. My daughter loves going to the lessons and enjoys singing a lot nowadays. I would recommend Emily to people of all ages and ability.
André is a WONDERFUL teacher. I started with him last month as an absolute beginner (at the age of 44!), and he's done an excellent job of helping me start to get my feet under me on the drum set. His teaching style is very flexible and adaptive, which is a great match for me as an adult beginner with mild age-related mobility issues. He's committed to teaching the basics, but he's equally committed to the idea that the goal -- the thing that's really going to motivate students -- is to learn to play music. I can't wait to get my own drums at home so I can practice enough to really do his lessons justice! André has infectious enthusiasm for the drums and for music in general. I'm lucky to have found him to be my teacher.
We have been working with Ms. White since January 2016. My boys, ages 6 and 7 walked out of their very first lesson knowing “Mary Had A Little Lamb” and this quick, concrete “take away” gave them a sense of excitement and confidence! Ms. White is very thoughtful with her instruction. She has realistic and responsive goals--like helping accommodate a variety of sports seasons and understanding the difference between her student’s temperament and attention span. She has nurtured an intrinsic and age appropriate interest and exposure to the world of piano playing. My boys pick up and play piano on their own and they love teaching their father and me their new skills. I would highly recommend Ms. White for piano lessons.
Have started lessons with Chloe just one month back for my 9 year old. My daughter and I love the energy and enthusiasm she brings to each lesson. Her focus on technique is something I really appreciate. My daughter was learning violin for about 2 yrs before coming to studio violin, and just month I can see that her music is sounding better with Chloe's detailed focus on basics and techniques. My kid is loving it so far so thumbs up and highy recommend her!
I highly recommend Miriam Pantig to you as a music teacher for your family and friends. Miriam is a voice teacher, a very well-respected in this community and, as you may know, she is one of the best entertainer in San Francisco Bay Area. She just recently relocated in East Bay.
I've just had one lesson so far, which was amazing. I'm just starting to learn music and singing, and Emily seems like the perfect teacher for a beginner like me. I'm really excited to continue learning with Emily.
Alivia is a fantastic teacher. She tailors the lessons to my daughters voice and ability while also encouraging her to push herself. She incorporates theory and performance into the lesson plan. She is a fantastic teacher.
Steve is a skilled drummer and heartfelt teacher. Each lesson has taken me around the world in music and given me a chance to try a variety of drums. Steve encourages self expression and has a vast knowledge of music theory. I recommend him highly
Brandon is a very creative musical artist. My wife and I had a song that we were working on and Brandon offered great suggestions on improving the overall likability. He added a great intro for it with the piano that goes perfectly with the song. He also added other components to the song that brought our song from a nice amateur piece to a professional level. Brandon is very versatile and can work with many different types of music genres. He has the musical experience to transform any piece into a masterpiece. Anyone who invests in Brandon, is investing their time with real talent and skill.
I have been taking jazz piano lessons from Brent for the past 8 months and I've really enjoyed getting to work with him. He is very knowledgeable on the topic of jazz. Every week we practice improvising over jazz standards and he plays along with me on the piano or sometimes drums of there is a kit in the room. Brent if friendly and cares about his students. Would recommend to anyone wanting to take drum or piano lessons!
