We bought a house in Tarzana and needed multiple updates. A friend recommended MDH to us after they did some amazing work at their house. We had a meeting with David who we liked immediately. He gave us practical suggestions and steered us away from things that were unessary. Project started and what was impressive to us what the constant communication and the line up of skilled professionals from plumbers, electricians, painters, countertop fabricators. Non were generalists which meant you just got the best in their category. Lia was running opertions in the back office and she was wonderful, answering every question promptly. We also had to take a trip in the middle of it all and they were flexible to accomodate us. I am amazed we got the A team but almost felt that your friends were working at your house. They geniously cared and we totally trusted what they recommended. We are already planning our 2025 projects!

Contacted me right the way, once the description of a job was given only heard promises to call back. Never got a quote, although was promised a quote in a few conversations. Stay away if your time is precious to you. These people are only going after big jobs.

We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. We don’t provide pricing over the phone because we believe every roof should be inspected in person so we can understand the full scope and give an accurate proposal. That takes time, especially during the busy season when our roofers are scheduled out in the field.
We absolutely intended to provide you with a proposal. Our team prioritizes homeowners dealing with active leaks or urgent issues, and since this was not presented as an emergency, it was scheduled accordingly. your request was sent over to us on Feb 17 and today is Sunday 2.22.2026. Sometimes we need more time.
We take pride in our work and in giving each project the attention it deserves, no matter the size. We would still be happy to take a look and provide a detailed estimate if you’d like to move forward. Please let me know how you wish to proceed.

We have really enjoyed working with David and MDH for a remodel of our house. During the entire process David was completely available. Our family was living in the house during the construction and he made sure to respect our space and to check in with us daily. We had major issues with our architect, who we worked with prior to David, and David and Lia, his assistant, took over and kept our project moving. I think any other contractor would have stalled and left us high and dry. They are a power team and we felt comfortable and supported teh entire time. David was at our house almost daily and he is extremtly punctual...which I hear is not usual. He always answered our phone calls and continues to support is in finishing our yard. Overall, I would highly recommend David and MDH. I would do another project with them in a heartbeat. They are wonderful to work with and we are very happy with our home

We used MDH Builders for a remodel of our 900 sq ft pool house. They did a great job, completed on time and within the estimated budget, with good communication throughout the project. They also contributed a number of good design ideas during both the planning and construction stages. Work was high quality - we passed every inspection with no problems. Finishes are great and MDH was very supportive after completion with some minor follow up and touch up items. All in all, a great experience working with them and I highly recommend them.
