What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer one-on-one Zoom sessions, which are flexible and personal, while saving time and money. Typically, they are discounted $5 / hour from the on-site rate. The printable materials I provide are at no additional fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We talk about objectives and the strategies I use to achieve the student's specific goals. My approach includes pronunciation, vocabulary-building, conversation, and culture issues while gradually addressing grammar. I explain the materials I will provide, if we decide to work together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a credentialed K12 teacher for English/ESL, Mathematics, Social Sciences and Computer Science. I also hold TEFL and TESOL certificates.
I have taught high school, jr. college, and university students in the US, Canada, Korea, and China, and have been tutoring for more than 20 years, mostly ESL.
