FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Haven Family Support was created to give families a more affordable alternative to large upfront retainers. Instead of requiring thousands of dollars upfront, we offer simple month-to-month membership options at $299, $599, and $999, depending on the complexity of your matter and the level of support you need. Your membership can include help getting organized, legal document preparation within our permitted scope, divorce paperwork, child custody and visitation documents, child support matters, spousal support matters, guardianship and paternity paperwork, restraining order preparation, mediation preparation, court-process education, checklists, timelines, and ongoing administrative support. We focus on helping you understand the process, stay organized, prepare the right information and documents, and move forward one step at a time. Our goal is to make family court support more accessible, predictable, and affordable without the pressure of a large upfront retainer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a brief intake conversation so we can understand your situation, what stage your matter is in, and what type of support would be most helpful. From there, we recommend the membership option that best fits your needs. Once you get started, we help you organize your information, identify the documents you may need, prepare documents within our permitted scope, and understand the family court process step by step. Depending on your situation, we can also help with divorce paperwork, child custody and visitation matters, child support, spousal support, guardianship, paternity, restraining order preparation, mediation preparation, case organization, timelines, checklists, and ongoing administrative support. Our goal is to make the process feel more organized, understandable, and manageable while giving you consistent support throughout your membership.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our background is built around years of hands-on experience working with families navigating divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, guardianship, restraining orders, and other family court matters. Our team has practical training and experience in family-law intake, client interviewing, document and case organization, California family court forms, filing procedures, mediation preparation, court-process education, and helping clients understand what information and documentation they need to move their matter forward. We also place a strong emphasis on communication and client care. Many people come to us feeling overwhelmed, confused, or unable to afford a large upfront retainer, so our approach is centered around explaining the process in plain language, keeping clients organized, and providing consistent support throughout their membership. We continually review California family court procedures, forms, county requirements, and best practices so we can provide organized and professional non-attorney support within the services we are permitted to provide.
