Introduction: I've been in the trades for over 30yrs. What makes my work so unique is when others replace something as opposed to repairing it and I make it look better than the original, they can't find where it was repaired.

Marvin s.

Below I will post what I sent Danny after being so satisfied with his work: Hi Danny, this is Marvin and I just wanted to take this opportunity to recap the work performed buy you in October of last year and to share with you my evaluation of completed work. Please feel free to share this email with any prospective customer needing or contemplating home repair. Before I outline the job you did, let me say that my wife and I were completely satisfied with no misgivings whatsoever. I will also say that besides you, I had others come out to bid on the job. We selected you as you came across as the most trustworthy and dependable with a very friendly demeanor. I was able to discern that as we went over the work to be performed that you had a very thorough background and was comfortable to proceed with the work. This also made us feel very comfortable. There were a total of 10 projects that needed work. I won't reiterate them all here but the most arduous ones were the repairing/replacing wooden patio cover, repairing/replacing exterior wooden stairs, re-align bedroom french door frame, replace exterior support beams, etc. As you completed each item, you showed me exactly what you did and made sure that I was satisfied. You paid attention to detail and this pleased me ever so much because I am a detail person. You were also open to suggestions and remained approachable thru-out the duration of the work. Lastly, I must say that price wise that you are a fair minded person and we never detected that you were trying to up the price like so many other contractors do. You honored your estimate and your major concern was to do a good job. We look forward to having you do all our work as it comes up. Sincerely, Marvin

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I take great pride in my work paying close attention to detail communicating with customers throughout the project letting them know of any issues that might pop up. I will always give a fair price for the work before starting and if the customer wants to pick up materials before hand that's fine . Sometimes product isn't always available on the shelves. Sometimes I can make things work using other materials but will need fabrication time to make it happen.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I go to the customer's house to see the area involved take measurements, pictures etc then work out an estimate for the project. I do require a fee of 50.00 for coming out if the customer wishes to hire me, then there will be 50.00 taken off of the balance. After I have worked out the numbers I will text or email customer the numbers, then schedule a deposit with a list of materials need to start then require payments as project progresses.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

3 years of ROP Wood working and over 30 years in the field working up to a journey level of craftsmanship
