I have a BA in Interior Architecture from UC Davis, and two masters from California Collge of the Arts: one in Industrial Design and the other, an MBA in Design Strategy. I specialize in high-end work and custom creation in the shop as well as on site. I design and build custom indoor and outdoor furniture, planters, woodwork, cabinetry, furniture, trim, and molding. I also repair and refinish fine furniture. I have years of experience doing damage repair. I'm available for smaller projects. I enjoy being challenged by design problems that require a creative solution. I specialize in the repurposing of materials, upcycling and restoration. I have spent years working on LEED certified projects while at the same time restoring some of the finest craftsman and Victorian homes.

Dave assembled two pieces of exercise equipment. While he was working, he heard my smoke alarm beeping (I don't even notice it anymore) and offered to change the battery! Nice guy. I will make a list of minor projects as they come up and call him when I have a few things for him to do.

We needed some trim and polish work done in our kitchen after a full DIY remodel and Dave came to the rescue.

You get so stressed about the big things that you often forget about the little things that need to be fixed when doing a remodel (e.g. installing trim and baseboards, refinishing the ceiling where the upper cabinets were installed, sanding and caulking edges, etc). Hiring Dave was the best decision. He not only polished everything with amazing craftsman quality so we could move on to the next big install but was also willing to teach you if you happen to want to do things yourself in the future — a homeowner’s dream!

I hired Dave to do some dry wall and baseboard repairs for damage caused by a water leak. He was very good about discussing the work up front, describing what he could do, and suggesting ways to minimize cost (obtaining materials myself, etc.). While the work was being done, he also kept me informed about options and decisions to make. He went through cans of paint left by the previous owner to see which were still good and find the one to touch up the patched area. The quality of the work was very good and the price was very reasonable. I'd definitely hire Dave again if I needed similar work done.
