Introduction: I grew up on a farm and learned from an young age how to make the most of what ever was available--we were "sustainable" way before it was a buzzword! I am fascinated with all types of food and am always learning new techniques and styles. I also understand scheduling, whether it be for my yoga or shopping or planning meals for my family. I am a regular woman who loves the zen of yoga and of the culinary arts.
I like the challenge of creating specific sessions for individuals and small groups, whether it be on the mat or in front of the stove.

Showy gave me an excellent lesson in how to pickle a variety of vegetables. She planned ahead to have cucumber, radish, and cauliflower along with several types of vinegar, and an array of herbs and spices( most of which came from her garden.)Showy taught me the importance of selecting the right vinegar to use with each vegetable to create a good flavor and not overpower the character of the raw vegetables. Showy communicated each step of the process with incredible clarity and answered all my questions with ease and solid knowledge. She also asked me many questions to help engage me in the process. The whole process of making pickles was so much fun and the end product was amazing! Each pickle was delicious! Our favorites were the radishes and cauliflower, which I would never had thought of myself!

Ms. Showalter has given us many meals that have been, creative, delicious and her style with presentation and service has always been exceptional.
The last meal we had here prepare for us was braised short ribs, one of our favorites. It was wonderful! We have also enjoyed her Pho, her outstanding spaghetti sauce, her homemade bacon, fresh eggs and her homemade corned beef brisket. She is always on time and is a pleasure to work with.
