Joshua is a great teacher, he has been very catering to my individual goals on the piano. I've been doing online lessons with him for over a month now and he I'm always excited for what he's gonna bring to the session. I strongly recommend him.Jun 4, 2020Review from Google

Thank you kindly for this review. I really appreciate having you as a student. You have a great ear and strong natural ability at the piano. What has also impressed me about you is your work ethic and determination. You're already making great strides to improve your sight reading and musicianship skills as well. I can't wait to see where this takes you.
Joshua was great in all areas. He took his time, did a great job, and thoroughly explained what he did. I look forward to having him come the next time I need the piano tuned.Jul 7, 2020Verified
The switch to doing things online is always awkward, and Joshua handled it with grace and allowed for a smooth transition. I enjoy my lessons and feel that i am still learning and improving even though we can’t have in person lessons.Jun 4, 2020Joshua Zabatta, Voice/Piano Teacher, Piano Tuner's reply
Thank you so much for the review, Cat. I'm really pleased with your progress as well as your understanding during the stay-at-home orders in our state. I'm thankful to have you as a student.
Joshua is great to work with. He focuses on his students’ interests and helps them grow musically and personally. Even though lessons have been remote for weeks, our daughter is making significant progress. I am thrilled.Jun 27, 2020
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I typically work on a package model for lessons. This is where the client will buy a package or group of lessons and then utilize those over the coming month or so. The number of lessons and length of lessons also determine what the client saves in regard to discounts I offer. Working from this model also allows me as the teacher to be flexible with scheduling while also allowing customizations to meet what the student needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always do a trial lesson with all prospective students. The lesson is usually 35-45 minutes of instruction and assessment. Then I have a Q&A with the student and/or the parent to cover any questions they have. This is a great way to get to know the student, establish realistic goals, and make recommendations for a customized lesson plan. Most importantly, it’s a great way to assess if the working relationship is a good fit and that we’re on the same page as far as expectations go. I always want my students to feel comfortable and know what to expect.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music. In addition, I’ve worked for roughly 18 years teaching, performing and directing.
