There's nothing not to like about working with Terry. I was having what would be considered a more complex issue of my furnace not being able to heat the house effectively. Terry came out, took a look at the duct work and the furnace, and made some observations and recommendations based on what he saw. His quote was spot-on for what I was expecting and the work was top-notch - AND it resolved the issue I was having. The best part is that Terry followed up out of the blue a week later when we had another cold snap and asked how the new duct configuration was working out. You don't find a lot of people who are that dedicated to their work, but Terry is - use with confidence!

Just had a great experience with Hartzell HVAC. Was told by another HVAC company that I needed a bigger A/C unit in order to keep my house cool. Decided to get a 2nd opinion. Terry the owner came out , looked at situation and said he could install a new unit, but would literately do nothing to improve my situation. He spent 2 plus hours the first day looking at what was preventing my house from cooling down. Added some Freon to my system and wouldn’t accept payment until he insured it was working right. Just came back out today to help problem solve and helped me determine the biggest cause of my issue was lack of return air on the upper floor. Unfortunately for me, the way the old ducts run through my house prevented proper air to recycle through the house. He helped seal everything up and worked with me on some further solutions. Only charged me for the Freon and no trip charges. He did give me a quote on another unit should we decide to go that route and he was considerably cheaper than other quotes. If your looking for an honest HVAC guy at reasonable prices I highly recommend Terry.

Terry came out to my place in Castle Rock on a Sunday night to repair my furnace. The work required a trip into Denver to get parts in the middle of a snowstorm. Terry got everything taken care of and did exceptional work. I highly recommend his services.

Terry was super quick to respond, on time every time he came (quoted us first, came back to quote us for a higher efficiency furnace again the same day - sorry about that!), And when they came to install, they were again on time. That's huge when you've got a young baby and rely on people sticking to their schedules and when they say they'll show. Terry was friendly, spent the time to explain everything to us, we never felt pressured to go with him, and he even offered to install on a Sunday if we decided in time that we wanted him to do the job. We wanted to do our research and not jump too fast so we didn't end up installing in a Sunday. But they were clean and professional and did a great job getting everything installed. Passed inspection and we were happy with Terry's work. We had about 6-7 contractors come to give us estimates and we went with Terry over the big companies. Thanks Terry!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I NOW PROUDLY OFFER FINANCING AS WELL AS LEADING BRAND NAMES IN THE HVAC INDUSTRY. All Prices for new installs or service work are going to be different depending on the system. I offer very affordable prices that range depending on effeciency and function. If you need service work i charge $75 dollars for the full diagnostic which i will credit towards the cost of any repair work that you choose to have done. maintenance/tune ups and inspections $75. Humidifiers start at $500 PLEASE NOTE THAT CONTACTING CONTRACTORS ON THIS PLATFORM COSTS THEM MONEY. serious inqueries are very much appreciated. thank you in advance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process when I am working with a customer is to clearly establish what their needs are. If they are looking for a new system I like to educate them on their options and the benifits that each of them bring, as well confirm that what they are interested in will meet their needs in the conditions of their home. If my customer needs service on a system that isnt functiong correctly i establish an understanding of the problem(s) they are having, the symptoms of the system and equipment, and the area it services. Then i do a full diagnostic on the system and look for any problems or anything that might be effecting the performance, effeciency, saftey, or reliability of the machine as well as look for anything that could effect or improve the confort of my customer. Then i perform any work requested after my customer has been fully informed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed an in-feild apprenticeship as well as completed schooling for HVAC technical training. I am certified by N.A.T.E. for CORE, gas heating service and install, and air conditioning service and install, completed training for troubleshooting and servicing boilers, combustion analysis, mini-split inverter heat pump/AC training, and airflow measurement. I have my Universal EPA liscense, State of Colorado business lisence and an Ahern certificate to opperate heavy machinery.
