After serving in the U.S. Navy, including a tour aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt during Operation Enduring Freedom, I left the Navy in search of another career I could be passionate about. I found that passion in the garage door industry.
I began my career with Clopay and went on to roles with Genie and Amarr, eventually managing a Wayne Dalton warehouse for over a decade. Wanting to get back into the field, I joined Ankmar as a technician, where I served thousands of customers across the Denver metro area.
Over the years, I envisioned building my own company—a team that delivers expert service at a fair price. That vision became Garage Genius. We are not just another garage door company; we’re your neighbors, proud to provide top-notch service to homeowners across Colorado.

Marvin was great. I called late on Friday afternoon and he came at 9:00 Saturday morning to repair my door. He is personable, explained everything well, and efficiently took care of the problem. I thought the cost for the repair was very reasonable and I will definitely call Garage Genius if I have any other door issues. The picture shows the problem area. That arm was loose in the tracks and needed to be secured. Marvin also re-strung the wire and made sure my door was balanced and adjusted the door travel limits.

Marvin treated me with the utmost respect and care. He didn't try to sell me an new door. He was able to repair my door saving me money, when I was told by Don's Garage that I would need a new door. If you're looking for someone honest who has a great personality and who if at all possible will save you money i recommend Marvin, The Garage Genius, you won't be disappointed.

Marvin with Garage Genius did an outstanding job repairing my garage door. He came out quickly and replaced the tension springs with no hassle. Marvin was very professional, took the time to thoroughly check the entire garage door system, including the brackets and other components, and made sure everything was working properly.He also explained what he was doing and why, which I really appreciated.
