Absolutely amazing! Mia responded to my inquiry in less than five minutes and Andy was able to be here the same day! My smoke detectors malfunctioned and would not shut up. The only way to inactivate them per the manufacturer is to remove the housing from the base. They are located on ceilings that are 10 feet, 15 feet, and 17 feet. I am 5'4" tall, 75 years old and certainly do not belong on a ladder. The one in the master bedroom had been beeping for 24 hours straight and I had to sleep on the sofa. Andy restored peace and quiet in less than half an hour. He also explained how he could restore my surround sound system at a very, very reasonable cost. Call them!

Andy showed up and knew exactly what he was doing, no guessing, no figuring it out as he went. Got everything up and running better than before in just a few hours and showed me how to use it going forward. I now have a tech guy that I can rely on after meeting Andy.

I engaged ElectroGizmo to diagnose and hopefully repair an internet Cat5 cable that for some reason stopped working. The cable ran from the basement switch to my second floor home office through PVC conduit on the outside of the house for most of the run. They arrived as scheduled, determined with their cable tester that the cable was in fact not working and ran through several troubleshooting steps to zero in on what the likely cause of the problem was. Their troubleshooting determined that a small section of cable that terminated in my home office was damaged and needed to be replaced. They replaced that section of the cable and sealed and secured the outside junction box where that cable section connected with the main Cat 5 cable in the conduit, tested everything including with my MacBook, and completely solved the problem. These guys are really good; highly knowledgeable, experienced, resourceful and do great work. They are in my preferred book of contractors and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for structured cabling and security projects!
ElectroGizmo's reply
Russell, thank you so much for the fantastic review! We really appreciate you taking the time to share the whole experience. This one definitely gave us a smile.
Troubleshooting cabling can sometimes feel a little like detective work, especially when most of the cable disappears into conduit and walls. We’re glad we were able to track down the damaged section, make the repair, secure everything properly, and get your home office connection back up and running.
Being added to your preferred list of contractors might be our favorite part! Thank you for trusting ElectroGizmo. We’d be happy to help anytime you need structured cabling, networking, security, or another technology project in the future!

Andy did a great job installing my video doorbell and fixing my chime box. And he was able to do it the day after I asked him for pricing. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience working with Andy, the owner of Electro Gizmo. He was professional, clean, fairly priced, and completely transparent about the work he was doing and why it was needed. For this project, Andy wired my basement for Ethernet, ran the lines back to my router in the living room, and tested everything to make sure it was working properly. The work was clean and well done, and I really appreciated how straightforward he was throughout the process.Andy does much more than networking as well, including audio/visual work and other technology-related projects. Ill definitely be calling him for all of my future networking and A/V needs. Highly recommend Electro Gizmo!
ElectroGizmo's reply
Tom, thanks so much for the awesome review! We really appreciate you trusting ElectroGizmo with your project. Glad we got everything wired up cleanly, tested, and running the way it should.
And thanks for mentioning the A/V side too. We’re always happy when a networking project turns into a future technology to-do list. 😁
Thanks again for the recommendation, Tom!
