60 hires on Thumbtack
Its been almost a year since we parted ways and I should have written a review at that time, but I was 9 mo pregnant, without a home and upset. We hired Wallace Pro Paints to do our home and they said they would be able to skim coat the home as well prior to us moving in. They told us it would take up to a couple of weeks...nearly two months after they started we had to fire them because our home was covered in dust, the walls were terrible (they painted over them without wiping down the dust caused by sanding) and our floors were scratched because they did not protect properly. They also ruined many of our electrical outlets (we had to replace all) and chipped our granite countertops in 2 places. Because of the terrible work we were not able to move into our new home until after our baby was born. We lost money and a lot of trust in using services like Thumbtack.Sep 18, 2018VerifiedMarvin W.'s reply
Our customer satisfaction truly is our number one priority, and it saddens us that this situation was not able to be discussed in full when it happened a year ago. Without going into too much detail, we cannot guarantee the quoted timing when a complete color change is requested close to completion. Without being able to finish a project, there will always be incomplete and unsatisfactory items. As to the damage you mentioned, we provided you with pictures of the damage already there that we took prior to starting the project . When that was unsatisfactory, we also sent a third-party insurance adjustor to your home. They made the determination the marks on your floor and chipped granite were not possibly caused by us and were most likely wear and tear from prior owners. We repeatedly offered to try to work something out with you to get in you in your home but were refused. Our deepest regrets that this situation was not able to be completed, and you were left unhappy however that came about. We do sincerely wish you and your new family nothing but the best in the future.
Marvin and Adam were great to work with. Marvin came out and gave me an estimate in less than 12 hours from the time I placed the order for the job. I explained to him that I had movers coming to move my things in my new home in 48hrs so I needed a quick turnaround on job completion. He had his foreman, Adam, at the site ready to work very quickly. The work they did was fast and BEAUTIFUL! They took the time to hear my needs and offered their professional opinion to help ensure the rooms were cohesive and aesthetically pleasing. In addition to them doing a great paint job, Adam even installed all of my light fixtures. The work was great and their professionalism was incomparable. I'd definitely use these guys again.Jan 9, 2018VerifiedMarvin W.'s reply
Thanks for the great review! Look forward to working with you again soon. Sincerely,Marvin Wallace.
Marvin, Adam and the rest of the guys were AMAZING. They did everything they said they would do by the day they said they would do it and for the price they quoted. They made some great suggestions along the way and Marvin called at the end of each day to confirm progress and expectations. Highly recommend.Sep 17, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We prefer to see the project to give you the most accurate quote possible. Often, there are items that may need to be added, or may be able to be done easier than we thought, so it is always best to let any professional see the job before you accept a quote. This is your space- and we want you to love it!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We will come and give you a complimentary quote, and send to you by email. From that point, grab your time on the calendar, as spaces fill quickly. We will confirm our date of arrival, and coordinate any materials needed prior to start date, and there we go!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We have a combined 20 years of experience in paint. We are OSHA certified, Hazardous Material Certified, and fully Insured.
