FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common shoots I do are portraiture, whether they be family, children, newborns or couples. I also shoot A LOT of fashion and editorial work in the summer months. Events and weddings are getting busier each year, including mitzvahs which is an excited trade to be in!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
A lot of clients do not understand pricing, I never did either until I became a professional, honestly. The reason most of our prices are high is not because of the actual shooting time, but post-production time and gear costs. To keep up with the newest technologies for editing and storing images, it can be costly and difficult to keep up with. Editing isn't as simple as most perceive it to be -- if it's a wedding, I can edit (depending on the package you purchase) up to 5-6 each picture on average, and with 400-500 images ... it adds up very quickly. Though editing is just the second piece to digital photography, it's also very time consuming.
