He was very friendly and knowledgeable; unfortunately, my husband didn't get a card and I'm unsure of the technician's name. After having interactions with a few other plumbing companies over the years that were fine but not great, I truly wish we'd found Garvin's sooner, but we will stick with them from here forward! As a side note: their prices for what we needed were incredibly fair and reasonable."See more

On Tuesday January 2, 2024 at approximately 7:20am, I noticed water underneath my kitchen sink and dishwater. I have used Thumbtack previously and have up to this point had a fairly decent experience with the contractors I have hired, so I logged on to locate a plumber. At approximately 07:57am, Mr. Torben Sorensen responded to my plumbing repair request and after checking his work reviews, I sent him more information via text message and scheduled the same day appointment 11:00am-12:00pm arrival time. At approximately 11:20am, Mr. Sorensen arrived at my residence and proceeded to check underneath the kitchen sink and started conducting tests of filling the sink up with both the water / stopper when the sink started leaking. Mr. Sorensen immediately checked my faucet and stated it was loose and therefore causing the leak, and returned to his truck for additional tools to tighten it. Mr. Sorensen performed more tests to check for any leakage stated he did not see any leaks, however suggested I change my drainage pipes due to not being in good condition. I agreed and Mr. Sorensen again returned to his truck gathered the new pipes, then installed them and did a few additional tests to check for any leaks. Mr. Sorensen suggested I run a fan for the rest of the day to dry the area where it had been leaking to prevent any further water damage. Prior to leaving my residence, Mr. Sorensen stated there was a (1) year warranty and that he would send me the information via email then collected my payment. After sometime I hadn't received the paperwork, I sent Mr. Sorensen a text message when he responded the warranty information would be sent to me once he returned to the office within the same day. At approximately, 4:30pm, I started to run water in the sink to wash dishes and noticed leaks coming from the newly installed P-Trap and I sent Mr. Sorensen a text message. Mr. Sorensen replied it was residual and to just wipe off and keep using stating he completely checked everything underneath the sink. I informed per the instructions received that the fan was on the area for hours prior to my use and asked should the residual stop after the first use and if he could return to look at the sink. Mr. Sorensen then stated if it's still leaking tomorrow then it's a problem, and there was only a warranty on the work he did today (seal on sprayer and piping replaced). Further stating, if it's residual from original leak would not be covered, however Mr. Sorensen never sent me the warranty documentation. I informed Mr. Sorensen that the leak was coming from the newly installed pipes replaced when he instructed to run the water and send him a video for the active leak. I began recording the video from my phone of the leak and sent it to Mr. Sorensen. Mr. Sorensen after the video was sent to him did not immediately respond as I had to follow up with him multiple times and eventually sent a message through Thumbtack for next steps. Upon Mr. Sorensen response he stated he would come back out tomorrow morning between 9am-10am when I informed him I had to return to work and was only off for today and would need to check my work schedule. Mr. Sorensen asked could he come by prior to me leaving work when I stated I expected this repair to be done today. Mr. Sorensen then stated could he return to the residence at 7:00pm, I then stated I will let him know my schedule as this was due to having an early meeting. On January 3, 2024 at approximately 1:28pm, I sent Mr. Sorensen a text message asking if he could returned the following morning Thursday January 4, 2024 at 07:30am, and due to how extremely inconvenient this has been for me if he would offer a discount from the price he charged for the repair, because I could not properly use my sink due to the leak and didn't want any additional water damage to my sinkbase floor. Mr. Sorensen refused stating he would only come out to tighten one fitting and there was no refund discount for warranty work and for me to submit on the company's website how it's been extremely inconvenient for me. I asked Mr. Sorensen in a text message whom else I could speak to regarding this matter because he still never sent the warranty information I requested the following day, and explained it was inconvenient because I couldn't properly use my kitchen sink. Mr. Sorensen stated the reason he didn't send the warranty was because the office secretary was out sick, however again he did not communicate this with me yesterday which was not good customer service as he knew I was waiting to receive the information. I feel that Mr. Sorensen should offer me a discount, because it's not that I am refusing to pay but my sink should have been fixed correctly and due to the leak I could not use it yesterday, and to just have the attitude he will not offer any discounts because there is a work warranty is not satisfactory because this was not cause by any actions of my own.
