As President of the Denver Theatrical Stage, Film and Exhibition Employees, IATSE Local 7, contact was made to Kristine to aid us in the development of a new logo that would help us better speak to our local's past, the present and future. Our labor local was organized on December 3, 1891 and has been active in our industries since that time; highly active with a skilled work force that continues to establish our place and presence in the industries in which we serve, in the political arena and in the communities in which we all live and work. To say that Kristine caught the vision is somewhat like saying Attile the Hun was a troublemaker - except in a most positive, productive, creative and energetic manner. She took us far beyond what we had as an original concept - manipulated, refined, drew, redrew, redrew yet again to make sure that we were more than satisfied. Were we and are we? Her final approval brought to us the most elegant, clear, simple and strongly stated information on a business card that I have ever had the privilege to display. As a past Senior Vice-President and COO of a 1,000 person organization in Southern California, as a past Project Manager for the City and County of Denver, as a past independent scenic artist for both stage and film work, I had come to know just a bit about business cards. When I tell you these most recent cards are wonderful, go back to comparing Attila to a trouble maker - only in a positive measure. And so we turned to creating a new parade banner with the new logo. Our previous parade banner was simply worn out. Beautiful, but worn out. Our banner is not quite done - but wait until you see it. Wowser!! I've had a business and personal relationship with Monica for almost 12 years and I've always been incredibly impressed with her dedication and artistic talent. I initially hired Anna-Maria as an illustrator to create a series of drawings for a photography book I'm writing for a large New York publisher. She has begun this extensive project, and her early results are superb. This is still a work in progress, but she is a skilled graphic artist who stepped up to the job with great energy and sensitivity to the images that appear in this book. I've also tapped into her grapjhic design background, and her familiarity with many fields related to publishing. to do some of the complex work of research and acquisition involving historic and archival photographs. This is a rare skill. She clearly has an acute sense of priorities and a feel for working on, and under, budget --both critical to this long term project. To sum her up,? Kevin Hu of Space Cadet (in association with Moonshine Media Group) were tasked and hired to shoot my record label's very first professional music video of the Louis Armstrong classic "What a Wonderful World", featuring Thomas J. Dawson Jr. of the legendary Commodores at The Gold Room in downtown Colorado Springs, CO. From initial contact and video inception to end credits, Kevin made the process smooth, kept necesssary communication constant and super exceeded all of our expectations. We released our video on Facebook to friends and family and got 1k views the first day which was sweet. However the real honor were the comments and reactions left on our pages.
