When people ask me what I do for a living, I usually tell them I'm a mortgage professional.
Technically, that's true.
I've spent more than two decades helping people finance homes, refinance mortgages, and utilize home equity as part of their retirement strategy.
But the older I get, the more I realize that's not really what I do. You see, mortgages are just tools.
