I hired Active Maintenance and Prevention to replace my water heater. They were very professional and affordable. They went beyond what I had originally hired them to do and they repaired my furnace as well as my water heater. I will be definitely be hiring them again in the future for other repairs needed. They did an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone.Jan 13, 2017Verified
Drywall Repair and Texturing
Steve repaired a wall including drywall work and a specialty painting job. It was done to perfection. He also came out over a weekend because we were in need of immediate work. He was very kind to us on the bill too!!! Great job! This review is coming from a home owner that has had many different types of workers for maintenance and repair and over 50 percent of the time the job done is no were near expectations. It's rare to have complete satisfaction as in this job!Jul 20, 2015VerifiedActive Maintenance And Prevention LLC's reply

Fireplace and Chimney Cleaning or Repair
Steve arrived at the agreed upon time and was able to get my fireplace working within 45 minutes! Prior to Steve, I had hired a chimney sweep who spent two hours working on my fireplace and was unable to get it working. Definitely recommend hiring Steve and will hire him again in the future!Dec 30, 2018Verified

Steve installed shelving for me at my office. He listened, asked questions and built the shelves exactly as I had envisioned. The quality of his work was terrific and his pricing was reasonable. I would not hesitate to hire Steve again.Dec 19, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Hourly standard Which is $40 per hr. Depending on the job and how many hrs. I do offer a discount on jobs that are forty hrs or more which brings it down to $35 an hr. Estimates and bids are common along with some flat rated jobs as well such as lights and plumbing fixtures replaced appliance installs And there is no service call charge ever.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I have to be attentive to everything they ask for and basically learn as much about the client as I can. When your in someone else's home total respect is the process start to finish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Oh yes indeed you have to or else you get left behind. I have been in this work since I was a young pre-teen. I had several yards I took care of paper route ect. Then at the age of 14 I went to work in the high school with the maintenance dept. painting, stripping and waxing floors building things,so I've been in the field all my life. Ive taken classes in machine shop 2 years associate degrees I've been a volunteer fireman which gave me a huge training in an unrelated but important area very useful in my business today.
