- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally charge per hour, because there are many factors (some unforeseen) that will influence the time and effort involved in decluttering and setting up a space. For eBay sales or yard sales I charge a percentage of the final price. I charge a flat rate for furniture/decor sourcing and for home staging consultations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm constantly doing research and reading books related to whatever I'm currently working on, whether it's my own personal project, or for a client. I'm interested in partaking in more workshops, etc.. in the area to further develop my knowledge.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I heard once that if something comes naturally to you, it is a gift, give that gift to others. I've always been organized, industrious and interested in how the design of a room influences how one feels. When my home is chaotic, I feel chaotic. When I started realizing the connection between one's home and their state of mind, I realized that I wanted to help people live easier, more inspiring lives.
