Speaking Spanish can be hard and daunting at first. Having a tutor who will explain the why, get you comfortable speaking, and customize your lessons and assignments every step of the way is what you can expect from me. My background with Spanish spans 21 years, 8 countries, 100+ students taught, and countless hours of practice in a business setting, in academic classrooms, coffee shops, and while traveling. I think the most unique thing about my services are that I make my students laugh, and get excited about making a plan for their own learning, which they can take with them to continue study for years after they finish the lessons. For me, watching a student "get it" is the most rewarding part of teaching.

Ahhh!! I don’t know where to start! Alyssa is such a fun and energetic person! She really goes out of her way to make each class super digestible and practical for you to truly reach your goals. I’ve been working with Alyssa for over 3-4 months now and can honestly say she was one of the best things that happened to me along my spanish learning journey! Grasping some of those grammar concepts can be really tricky but it’s insane how Alyssa can help me grasp something in one class and then the next time I see her i’m able to use the concept practically. In addition to her being super patient, respectful, and knowledgeable. I also feel like i’ve been able to make a new friend who’s as excited about spanish as I am. Gracias por todo Alyssa❤️

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is available on my website's pricing page. I offer packages at a discount for individual and group classes, on Zoom or in person near Denver, Colorado. Included in the pricing is custom assignments, and a ton of other resources such as podcasts, an online travel course, conversation partners, and more!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to have a quick free 20 min call to get to know you and your goals. Then, we decide if my services are a fit, and I can assess your level with a pre-test, and build a plan for how to begin classes that starts where you are at.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Spanish language, and I graduated cum laude from University of Denver. I have traveled in South and Central America, and I studied abroad in Madrid. I've been teaching Spanis for 9 years, bringing my blend of travel-smart and academic Spanish in a fun and dynamic environment.
