FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whether its over the phone or over a cup of coffee or tea, I like the opportunity to get to know someone a little bit before I photograph them. This not only gives me the chance to get to know their unique personality and style, it also lets me know what they are looking for and hoping to get from their photographs. I want to make sure we are on the same page. I also know how scary/uncomfortable it can be to be in front of a camera, so this is a great opportunity to put some of those fears at ease.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started taking photography classes in High School and continued into College. I have been working professionally as a photographer for the past 7 years, and have photographed in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Colorado.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Communication is key! Make sure your photographer is asking about what you want from the shoot, what kind of images you hope to get, and where your comfort levels are. You are paying your photographer for a service. Part of that is to make sure that you are getting beautiful images. The other piece of it though, is the experience. You are putting yourself out there when you are being photographed, so it's important to work with someone you like and trust.
