Contracted PremierPro Painting to paint the entire interior of my house, with additional projects such as the sanding and painting of a few doors, resurfacing of hardwood floors to make them look new again, and replacing carpet. Michelle was the point of contact for this project. I chose this company because Michelle had good suggestions and was willing to work within my $15K budget. I had no issues with the carpet install. In regard to the painting - the end product is good but it was not easy as promised. I had to point out areas of opportunity almost every day and ask them to touch up spots. They took every single thing in each room and piled it on top of each other on beds and covered with plastic for 4 days while they spray-painted, meaning I had no access to my office, my clothes, and my personal stuff. I had to unexpectedly vacate the house for a week. This was not the expectation set upon the start. Upon return to a “finished project”, I determined the hardwood floors did not turn out at all like promised. (Also, they sanded them with no proper ventilation so wood fibers went all over my house. Michelle promised me a cleaning lady, but that never happened, even though I asked multiple times). For the hardwoods, my options were to resurface again and have to vacate the house again for 3 to 4 more days, with no promise that it would be any better, or have vinyl plank put on top. I chose the vinyl plank because she said it would only take an hour and I could pay a discounted rate for the materials only. What ended up happening was a seven hour install that started at 6 PM and ended at 1 AM on a Monday. The installer, Alex, would talk very loudly on his Bluetooth headset while he was working so it made it hard for me to even watch TV and most of that time, I was hanging around outside with my two dogs because they could not walk on the floor. Alex tried to install cheap silver transitions ( like in a trailer house), because “that’s all Lowe’s had “when the vinyl plank is a brown commercial grade luxury plank. When I demanded matching transitions, that was a whole ordeal that took almost 2 weeks to get completed. When giving my feedback on my poor experience to Michelle, and asking for the transitions to be completed, she became argumentative. She said that she went above and beyond and gave me such great discounts to meet the budget, but who really knows? For instance, the original quote was to paint the interior of my house, and then I asked her about spray painting to make it quicker, and making it quicker would make it cheaper, but the price didn’t change and it actually didn’t make it quicker at all. I think based upon the whole experience, I would not work with this company again. I need a company that actually meet expectations, and doesn’t try to change the narrative to put the blame on the customer or paint a picture like everything was wonderful when it wasn’t.
