Our focus is to teach you how to get your dog ready for the real world, so that your dog fits your lifestyle. Omni Canine's goal is to teach our clients, dog and owner, to have the best relationship possible. We love seeing the relationship between our clients and their dogs grow. Once a strong working relationship is there, anything is possible.

Dog Training

I recently adopted a lab mix puppy, and she is my first puppy i’ve had since my childhood dog passed away a couple years ago. I was very young when I got my first dog, so didn’t do any of the training. When I adopted my new puppy, I was really nervous about making sure I do the best I can with training her, especially because I had no prior experience. She’s quite energetic and so I reached out to Mike to help with certain concerns I had with her such as biting, potty training, and crate training. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations of his methods. He has been extremely helpful in giving me the tools I need to confidently train Olive and I am so grateful for his help!

Dog Training

Our experience was great! We’ve only done one lesson so far, but we learned how to better build a mutually trusting and valuable relationship with our newly adopted shelter dog, how to fix where we were going wrong with how we were training, and where we should go from here. Very helpful, and we’re already starting to see some really good results.

Dog Training

Within the few minutes Mike was there I was already starting to see a change in my dogs behavior, one of those behaviors that changed was his barking, he went from non stop barking to being able to stand right next to Mike! I can’t wait to see the results within my dog once all the training is done!

Dog Training

Wow! Mike is amazing. As I suspected, I am the one who needs training; my puppy Sasha, not so much. And Mike began that training the moment he walked in my door. He made everything so simple and understandable for me; explained his philosophy; and demonstrated how and why it worked. I am orthopedically challenged. This is actually Mike’s terminology but I really like it so I’ve adopted it for myself. I use a walker and everything that Mike taught me was geared toward that limitation. I honestly couldn’t believe how much I learned from him in the short time he was here. A bonus for anyone who may be on a fixed and limited income is that he doesn’t try to sell a package deal. His belief is that if you find value in his visit, you will have him come back. Also, he’s very upfront and honest about what he believes you and your dog need and what you don’t need. A very honest and forthright man. Don’t look any further. Call Mike and you will be one happy camper!

Dog Training

I couldn’t be more thrilled with our first dog training session with Mike. We have used someone else before, and while they had some good practices we didn’t notice any huge desired behavior changes with our dog, Kida. Just ten minutes into a session with Mike and we started to see some changes with Kida. Our session just ended and I am so grateful for all the things my husband and myself learned. It’s obvious Mike is fantastic at what he does, and honestly I think this is a great value for the results you’ll get with his information and doing the homework.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We do an in depth evaluation of the current dog/owner situation. This takes about 1 hour and the cost of the evaluation is $120. Many issues can be addressed in this evaluation session. The ways to better relationships to get better behavior can often be implemented during the evaluation. Once the evaluation is complete, we will set goals and expectations for future sessions if needed. Training can be a long term commitment, and discounts are available for training packages. Pricing is based on the training evaluation, type of training involved, and your location because we come to you! The average training prices are as follows: 1 Session: $150 5 Sessions: $500 PLEASE NOTE: The costs outlined above are for single dogs. If multiple dogs are involved that will be a case by case decision.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I will meet with the client for the initial evaluation. All aspects of the dog/ owner relationship will be examined. A set of goals and expectations will be agreed to. We all get to work to create the dog that fits your lifestyle!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 30 years of hands on training experience. This includes basic obedience to advanced dog sports. He has certified dogs for Search and Rescue, service dogs, and therapy dogs. I have also placed multiple dogs in personal protection both in the states and Dominican Republic. My personal dog is Schutzhund titled and he has trained multiple Schutzhund dogs for clients. I work with the American Working Dog Club for all my certifications.
