FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe in transparent, fair pricing—no hidden costs, no surprise add-ons. • Estimates – Most estimates are free. Larger, complex projects may require an on-site consultation fee, which is credited toward the job if you hire us. • Hourly vs. Fixed Rates – Small handyman jobs are often billed hourly, while larger repairs and upgrades are priced as a fixed, all-inclusive bid. • Materials – We can purchase materials for you (at cost + a small procurement fee) or you can provide them—your choice. • Discounts – We offer: • Bundle pricing when you schedule multiple projects at once. • Seasonal specials on preventative maintenance packages. • Discounts for returning customers and maintenance plan members. • Minimum Service Fee – For small jobs, we have a $150 minimum to cover travel, set-up, and labor. • No Surprise Charges – If something changes mid-project, we discuss it and get your approval before moving forward. Our goal is to give you upfront clarity and real value, so you know exactly what you’re getting and what it will cost—before we ever pick up a tool.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Initial Contact & Discovery You reach out through Thumbtack, phone, or our website. We’ll ask a few quick questions to understand your project, timeline, and priorities. 2. On-Site Visit or Photo Review For most jobs, we can provide an estimate from detailed photos and measurements. For larger or more complex projects, we’ll schedule an on-site visit to see the space and discuss options in person. 3. Clear, Written Estimate You’ll receive a detailed, itemized estimate—no hidden fees, no vague “ballpark” numbers. We’ll explain exactly what’s included so you can make an informed decision. 4. Scheduling & Preparation Once approved, we lock in your date(s) and order any necessary materials. We’ll confirm arrival times and what you can expect on the day of service. 5. Work Completed with Care We show up on time, prepared, and ready to work. Whether it’s a small repair or a multi-day project, we maintain a clean, safe jobsite and communicate progress along the way. 6. Final Walkthrough & Sign-Off Before we pack up, we’ll walk the job with you to make sure everything meets your expectations. Any questions or adjustments are handled on the spot. 7. Follow-Up & Support After the job is complete, we’re still here for you—whether that’s answering questions, providing maintenance tips, or helping you plan the next phase of your home projects.
