Kimberly Schilling MSW

Introduction: I have a master's in social work, and I have worked in all types of areas. I was an LPN for 15 years before I became a social worker. As a social worker or counselor, I have assisted helping with mental illness, family issues, disabilities, PTSD, brain injuries, depression, substance abuse, and people needing help with substance and legal problems. I have worked with all types of ages. I honestly care about what I do, and it is to help you feel better about what is going on in your life that you want to handle. I have worked with family preservation to give parents last chance with children. I interned with Dr. Frank Rice, and I interned with Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging Council of Government. I have worked with the Department of Social Service, Goodwill, Aspen Pointe, Rocky Mountain Options, and nursing agencies. I have been in nursing which help with the medical side of counseling. I have had a TBI in my past, and I understand both sides of my professions. I have volunteered as a CASA, School Social Worker Assistant and many others. I have worked with Medicaid, Medicare, other insurances, and sliding scale. I work with any age children for five years, teenagers for three years, elderly for six years, and families with all ages. My experience has taught me that you must build trust first and that is the most important thing. I am here for you and what it is that you want or need to deal with.
